NFC East: That sound you just heard was the Philadelphia Eagles passing you by.

Ginger Jesus is on fire again today. Thank you, North Dakota State! :notworthy:

34-3 and it's still the 3rd quarter. Utter domination by the Eagles.

CBS just put up stat that the last time the Steelers had a 31 point deficit at any point in a game was 1997 against Dallas.

Pretty cool. I'm listening to the Eagles radio feed and the TV broadcast is talking about Eagles play by play man Merrill Reese being the longest tenured play by play man with 40 years. Meanwhile, Eagles color man Mike Quick notices the CBS graphic and is talking about it while they zoom in on him in the booth.

Merrill Reese is awesome. I selfishly hope he works another 20 years.

Wentz has been amazing, but how about the job Doug Pederson has done so far with this team? The Eagles have looked exceptionally well prepared on both sides of the ball in all three games.

Good morning everybody! Have the Eagles beaten a real team yet?

I saw ALL the pundits pick "Super Bowl contender" Pittsburgh yesterday so I didn't bother to watch the game. Were the Eagles able to move the ball on that vaunted defense at all or stop that HOF QB and WR tandem they have?

:kisswink:

Gotta hand it to Pederson - this team is so well prepared for games it's silly. Of course it probably helps when Wentz is playing like the best QB in the league, but they look good everywhere. Offensive line is giving time and even producing in the running game, WR's - the weak spot in the team - look decent, Darren Sproles is just sick, and then the defense is the real difference. Most of the teams in the NFC East are heavily tilted to either offense or defense, but what sets the Eagles apart is that they are so well balanced between the two. And there are not many defensive fronts better than the Eagles out there right now. Who would've thought that Chip Kelly's worst decision had nothing to do with offense but with insisting that the Eagles move to a 3-4 on defense? We should enjoy this because Jim Schwartz is almost guaranteed to have a head coaching job next year somewhere if he wants it.

Still early, and the Eagles will have to weather the 10 game suspension of Lane Johnson (could be the best RT in football right now), but they just gave the worst beating the Steelers have taken since Sam Wyche and the Bengals beat them in 1989. And this is a Steelers team that, along with the Broncos and the Pats, are on the short list for the Super Bowl. I'm liking where the Birds are.

Wentz in the pocket is a thing of heart stopping beauty and grace...
(Don't stop me I'm channeling Gruden right now)

When he slipped through the seam and rolled right - casually eyed the proper line of scrimmage - pulled the linebacker out of coverage and then hit Sproles....

I almost cried it was so gorgeous

That really was an awesome play. Something that alot of quarterback's don't seem to have the ability to do; recognize where the LOS is, not breach it, pull a defender towards you while skirting the LOS, make a PERFECT pass while on the run....it was beautiful.
I say that as a Skins fan. :ohno:

Boy did Shazier ever screw up on that play. You NEVER break off of Sproles. NEVER.
