Well that was a bit of a mini bodybag game for the Birds.

I really thought Wentz might have a cracked rib again after that hard but clean hit in the first quarter. He was on his ass way too much last night.

The secondary is brutal. Schwartz at least kept them in the game by dialing up the right pressure.

The Eagles need to figure out how to actually get an early lead. They've been playing from behind for two years now, and that's on Pederson and Wentz.

That downfield block by the ATL lineman on the winning Julio Jones TD was a thing of beauty, even if it cost my team the game. Wow.

I thought Jake Matthews killed that poor guy.

It's still beautiful.

The Eagles are banged up, can't hold onto the ball, can't catch, can't tackle, and can't cover. They also badly miss Frank Reich as OC.

I guess. It's also early in the season. The Lions have plenty of chances to fulfill their destiny.

And Philadelphia will likely improve as the season progresses.

As I stated earlier, the Eagles were a one shot pony a couple years back, Dallas, Vikings or the Rams will come out of NFC this year.

Seriously, other than the Patriots, wouldn't every other team in the NFL be able to be called a one shot pony? You're basically playing roulette with you betting on all but one number - could you take a less risky position?

Of course it isn't over - Eagles have lost 1 game so far that coming into the season they would've counted as a win, and that being that debacle yesterday against the Lions. If we shock the world and win this Thursday then we'll be right back on schedule in terms of where we should be at this point in the schedule. It can't be over in September unless you are the Dolphins.

With that said, sure, making a Super Bowl run from the wildcard weekend is not ideal, but it's certainly been done before. Eagles are showing a lot of holes right now but I still have faith in Dougie P to get things in order and pointed in the right direction. It ain't over by a long shot.
