Compare this to Obama - Romney or Obama - McCain. We were actually arguing about policy.
This election is just a shitshow and an argument about which candidate is less shitty. What ridiculous thing Trump tweeting, whatever new corruption revelation about Clinton, etc.
I've always been generally pretty optimistic.... but, we're so fucking screwed with this election....
I agree. Entertaining aspects aside, the impact to the establishment (on both sides) during this election has been great to see. Interesting to see where things go from here.kalm wrote:I feel the opposite. This election is awesome in so may ways. Conk establishment getting primaried, a democratic socialist keeping it close with Clinton, the hard truthfulness of Trump's statements on money in politics, the dishonesty of the Dem establishment...
Then again, national politics is a spectator sport for me.
Not humanly possible.JohnStOnge wrote:Are you serious? The answer to your question is obvious. The other realistic alternative lies even more. And he's completely nuts. I can't believe you even asked that question.HI54UNI wrote:
Except that wouldn't fit what actually happened over the weekend. She was supposedly diagnosed on Friday and then went to fundraisers. So if she would've skipped the 9/11 memorial that would've shown that her donors are more important than remembering 9/11 (which they probably are).
How can you support anyone who's first reaction to everything is to lie and deceive? There isn't an honest bone in her body.![]()
If you want to say Clinton is dishonest, fine. But the problem you have is that Trump is even MORE dishonest. Plus he's got the emotional maturity of a 12 year old and has absolutely no clue.
How can YOU support an alternative who lies even more than Clinton does and who is basically a middle school kid in a 70 year old man's body? Plus all sorts of other problems.
At least she has SOME clue as to what's going on in the world. The alternative does not.
Pretty soon he'll be criticizing Trump for racism, liking young women, and letting his dog lick peanut butter off his balls.Ibanez wrote:JSO is full of crap and denial, it's a shame to see him go down like this.
If we were still going with "registered voters" as the ABC News Washington Post poll had been doing until the most recent report, the report would have been that Clinton had a 10 point lead over Trump in a 4 way race (45% to 35%). But since they have now moved to using "likely voters," the lead is 5 points (46% to 41%).With Labor Day past, ABC has moved to focusing vote-preference estimates on likely voters,
who account for about 57 percent of all adults in this survey’s estimates.
I am not in denial at all. I fully recognize that the absolute disaster of having Trump end up as President is possible. I fully recognize that there are enough people in this country that are stupid enough to vote for him to allow for that to happen.Ibanez wrote:JSO is full of crap and denial, it's a shame to see him go down like this.
Pretty much nails what Trump supporters are trying to accomplish right now."A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses."
As I don't watch the Khardashians, this is my fix!SDHornet wrote:I agree. Entertaining aspects aside, the impact to the establishment (on both sides) during this election has been great to see. If you are going to worry about someone being full of crap, you should worry about someone completely full of crap ending up as President. If Trump ends up as President, that will have happened.

You are confusing Pro-Trump with Anti-Hillary.
Which is which? Does it matter?93henfan wrote:CAA Flagship wrote: Name one.
You are confusing Pro-Trump with Anti-Hillary.This is truth. I have already said multiple times that this election is a Giant Douche versus a Turd Sandwich.

I haven't watched SP much since the kids left the nest. Maybe I should go back to it!93henfan wrote:That's the point.Ivytalk wrote:

If you want the answer though, South Park invented the term and they roll it out every four years. For this cycle, in the season opener for season 20, the Turd Sandwich is a cartoon Hillary Clinton and the Giant Douche is Mr. Garrison (tinted orange and acting like Donald Trump) and his veep is Caitlyn Jenner.
Catch the Youtube clip I edited in above. It's bleeped but NSFWIvytalk wrote:I haven't watched SP much since the kids left the nest. Maybe I should go back to it!93henfan wrote:

Television anchors laid into Trump on Friday. News networks carried the event in full under the impression he would expand on his past “birther” claims and take questions.
But instead, Trump made only the brief remarks, spending the vast majority of the event honoring Medal of Honor winners and veterans there supporting Trump and lauding his new hotel just a stone's throw away from the White House.
“We got played again by the Trump campaign, which is what they do,” CNN's John King said, making clear that he did not mean to disrespect the service members being honored at Trump’s hotel
“He got a live event broadcast for some 20 minutes.”
