Good little article on the Browns center (note, not an Eagles player) noting that Harrison from the Steelers was spearing guys all day long.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5710617

If you watch the game film, [Harrison] was doing that to everyone on every play. People would be on the ground and he would try to spear them. There's a play on film where Peyton Hillis is tackled and he comes up and spears him. It's like you're being cheap, you're being dirty."
"A lot of the arguments right now are people are taught from Pee Wee football that this is how you play," Mack said. "Well, we need to change that. You can't be breaking your head. There are better ways to tackle.
Of course, you need to consider the source - just another one of those pu#&ie offensive linemen trying to make the game into something girls can play.

Didn't really put it together until right now but the "Not an Eagles player/fan" line from GF puts it all together for me.

Although otherwise good people...the biggest group of whining bitches I've ever seen in my life are a group of Eagles fans (5 or 6 from Philly) that used to go to Red's every Sunday to watch the Eagles games.

I thought Steelers fans were a fairly retarded group of people until these fucking dorks started school at UM and I saw them watching a Eagles game.

I get it now.

I don't know about that - have you seen a Montana fan bitch and moan about the lack of respect for that powder puff conference they supposedly play football in? Hard to exceed that level of whining and bitching. :thumb:

I don't remember any of that "discussion" involving cuncussions. It revolved around knee injuries.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

FWIW, here is the video the NFL sent out to the teams

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-videos/09 ... yer-safety" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

From watching that, it is clear they aren't trying to ban hard hits...just hits to the head and neck and using the head as a weapon

You've been wrong a lot though so this shouldn't sting too much. BTW, you are trying to cross over topics and you flat out were are way off base on what i was saying over there as well so you missed again. Chin up GF. I bet you're not as dumb as you seem today. :thumb:

Well when you were talking about injuries and the asset of grass over turf last time exactly what injuries were you referring to then? I was talking about all injuries as they are counted as injuries in my book when you are talking about the dangerous nature of each one.

No, the fact is there is a division, those that think that football is a manly sport played by men not afraid to take/give a hit, and those who see it as entertainment only, thinking of the result of an injury upon their fantasy pick like the proven metro, 89 chicken.

Seriously wedge? This discussion was over last week. I figured your weekend at the retreat would have lowered your bloodpressure to the point where you could just admit you are wrong on this one. Guess not.

That and the fact that it still looked like football yesterday, only without the helmet to helmet hits. All the complaining about the rule changes turns out to be much ado about nothing.

What the NFL really needs to do is teach the refs how to figure out which team recovered a fumble. The end of the Miami-Pittsburgh game yesterday makes the NFL look like a Mickey Mouse league.
