Based on whatever factual evidence has been presented thus far, what penalty in football would be analogous to the infraction?

Makes him incorrect IMO. I'll let Z fight his own battles.

Someone will have to fact check me but I heard somewhere that Ukraine opened an investigation last year which hasn’t yielded anything.

Maybe I read it.

Yeah, no doubt Hunter working there was a dipshit move. Definitely don't dispute that.

I wonder if Burisma got their 50k per month worth out of him

He must have provided some really valuable service to Burisma

He sure was valuable to Rosemont Capital

Meh, what's $130M in Fed loans among friends?

And when I say friends, I mean to your company while your dad is VP. More Biden boomerang.

So let's just say Rudy's version is true and the Ukrainians have proof old Joe and his son were corrupt. How does that square with Trump asking for the Bidens to be investigated?

My only hurdle is that there has to be a hole somewhere in the Dems defense.

Blasey Ford: sexist and brutal to ask her tough questions. FBI: Retribution for investigating FISA abuses. Bidens: Attacking your political opponent.

Seems the only thing allowed when accused by Dems is to just sit there and take it, otherwise you prove your guilt. There is always some weak line of defense as to why you can't question a Dem.
Why’s an investigation into a political opponent pertinent in the release of aid?

Why is investigating corruption a problem if a political opponent committed a crime?

That was my point. IF what Rudy has said is true, does it still mean Joe cannot be investigated just because he is a political opponent?

Does it ever become okay to investigate Biden?

There is absolutely no evidence that Biden committed a crime. Donald Trump is not interested in corruption in general. Donald Trump saw this as an opportunity to start a thing where there was a cloud of investigation over a political rival. Donald Trump is totally corrupt. He was willing to put his personal interest in getting re-elected above the national security interests of the United States. It's very clear to anybody with a brain to see that that's what happened.

Ok. What’s that got to do with Trump asking a foreign government to open an investigation that has no bearing on American foreign policy or is in its national interests?

Follow up question, since that’s the favor Trump requested in order to provide money and military aid, how does an investigation into Biden a national security issue? Furthermore, if Biden's alleged actions were so nefarious why did it take until 2019 for it to be discovered?

How does the announcement of an investigation into Burisma or Biden benefit America? I fail to see the connection.

Another follow up - if that’s from 2006 (which I thought this occurred DURING the Obama administration) why haven’t the Republicans cared to investigate or compel the Biden's to testify? For that matter, why aren’t the Biden's being investigated now since the GOP holds the Senate and Lindsey Graham chairs the committee that would call for that testimony?

How does it benefit the US to get a corrupt person fired in a country where we are fighting a proxy war against the Russians? And who in 2019 benefits from this sudden desire to get to the truth? It deserves an answer. If Biden abused his power, he should be held accountable.

I have been listening to more Fox News and Rush than I care to admit and I have yet to hear a serious, legitimate reason why it's in America's best interest to figure out if Biden abused his office in getting someone fired 5 years ago.

This is how Trump gets to go after Biden. I believe Trump is using it as his means to go after Biden "legally".

Once impeachment is over, maybe we can have a conversation over why we are giving military aid to Ukraine in the first place.

Playing footsie with them over NATO membership is what precipitated their troubles in the first place. Now we give them military aid.

Ultimately, every single foreign policy professional who has credibly testified in the impeachment hearings about how the “real” foreign policy was being conducted by FP professionals .... while Rudy, et al were conducting their own parallel “diplomacy”... every one of them has been working out of a position that Ukraine needs aid to counter Russia. Which lead to them need more aid down the road. And then more and more.

We can broaden the conversation as to the rationale for military aid generally. Everyone knows that Israel is the biggest recipient — by a long shot — but the rest of the top-10 list for 2019 includes some real head-scratchers. As in WTF?

TBH, I would be good with a significant reduction in most military aid to Israel with the exception of ABM defense. In fact, ABM defense is about the extent of physical military aid that I would supply to any of our allies. They can pay for everything else.

When we're done with that, can we talk about how aid goes to foreign countries, only to be put back into our politicians coffers as "donations".
