Replay official Bill Fette of the Pacific-10 Conference said after the game that there was no indisputable evidence on the video to overturn the call.

The last two paragraphs say it best;
Virtually forgotten in the late-game theatrics were Jones’ record-breaking day, the kickoff return touchdowns by the Bison’s Mike Sigers (94 yards) and EWU’s Jesse Hoffman (88) and blocked field goals by Sigers and Eastern’s David Gaylord.

“There were so many huge plays, and yet as it always seems to do with us, it came down to the end,” EWU head coach Beau Baldwin said. “For us to find a way to go 90 yards at the end in those conditions is incredible.”
Those back to back KOR TDs were amazing to watch. It sure was one epic game.

blah blah epic way to get screwed over by bill fette... also, dont forget the incomplete catch on first drive ruled a catch, then TJ found a seam for a td and the PHANTOM personal foul on NDSU's richards, when some loser from ewu tripped over him

keep in mind, CAA officials worked the game and they knew Villinova would of had ZERO chance in the fargodome.

the FIX WAS IN.. and it worked.

Meh, that CAA crew were good guys for the most part. They did there best under difficult circumstances. I took them out for some pops and shots the night before the game and I think we were all still a little blurry eyed.

The game was epic, but flawed. Its really too bad the EWU title has a cloud like this over it. Im sure bill fette is a good guy and all, but he did the game no favors by passing on his responsibilities.
There is no reason to have replay if it isnt used.
The announcers were more than surprised, and I think a little embarrassed for the game, when some of those calls came down like they did.

In the end EWU has a title that is forever in question with regard to its legitimacy. It can never be mentioned without the question coming up. It wasnt just the NDSU game either, the National Championship game was a fiasco as well in EWU favor.

Say what you will thats just the way it is.

When you give up 200 yards rushing in one half you just plain got your ass whupped, that's all. You were lucky to fluke into the last spot in the playoffs, stop with the whimpering. You're making the whole conference look bad, you need to start acting like fans of a playoff team, not like some panhandler that stumbled into a high-class joint. :tothehand:

They will be moving up to the FBS next year or two at the latest. Then they will really show us who is the cream of the crop.

JBB wrote:Just like I said, when the discussion of the 2010 FCS National Championship comes up, like it did in this thread about NDSU Spring Practice, this issue will always arise. Thats what is meant by "having a cloud over it".

The game with NDSU was poorly officiated, some would say incompetently. It was a series of errors by bill fette so profound that taken together they are considered material as to the outcome.

That game was not decisive and the outcome inconclusive in determining which was the better team. It was conclusive however in answering the question about bill fette's competency as a booth official. For whatever reason he passed on his responsibility.

The same can be said for the national championship game which had an enormous flaw in the officiating as well.

That is exactly my point. At least 100 of those yards, not to mention at least 7 pts, were made possible by the imcompetancy of bill fette in discharging his responsibilities in the booth. That is why its such a shame. :ohno:

The reports coming from the Modestly Lavish football compound on the campus of North Dakota State University are again focusing on youth and talent. Last years team was young. Unlike other MVFC squads that suffered with under-coached and less talented underclassman, The BISON were fielding at least 7 true freshman in their hunt for the National Championship that saw the officiating let them down in the bill fette bowl.

Todays focus is on redshirts and all eyes are on Kyle Emanuel, from Nebraska. He is going to be in the rotation at defensive end this year. He is a strong - 6-foot-3, 238-pound - talented player that walked away from The Cornhuskers to play at NDSU.
“Extremely talented,” Emanuel said of his class. “I started to realize it during the season when a number of freshmen were not only playing but starting. Even this spring, I’ve seen the guys that didn’t play that redshirted are coming around now. They’re excelling and moving up the depth charts.”http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id ... up/Sports/
Coach Bohl says Emanuel can expect to see significant playing time.

It is the large number of freshman and sophomores as well as the on-going high caliber of the recruiting classes that serve as the foundation to my claim The BISON are a rising dynasty.

The math is too difficult to go into here so I will present a graphic display to make my point.
   Thank you JBB
A dynasty is properly defined by the following diagram:

Image

As you can see the X-axis defines probability and the Y-Axis defines the time displacement factor. When the probability index crosses the achievement line I have super imposed on the instructional graph you can see that the dynasty begins at that point and ends when it crosses the achievement line in the opposite direction.

The influx of talent at NDSU and the early success of the team we saw last year is clear evidence the probability index has crossed the achiervement line and we are now in the early days of the 4th Great NDSU BISON FOOTBALL DYNASTY.

All reports coming from the football compound are in support of this view.

The mistake Yoda and others are making is improperly marking the beginning of a dynasty at the pinnacle of success experienced during the dynasty phase. (I have conveniently marked this area under the curve on the above graphic) This is incorrect unless of course you a dealing with the classic one-and-done phenomena so common with weaker programs.
