Yes, we are aware that New Jersey men have a disturbing tendency to want to bury their face in another man's crotch.

A netminder, a netminder.
My kingdom for a netminder.

Martin Brodeur will still be better than Briz when he's collecting social security checks.

Actually, Briz isn't the main reason they're losing, but he's certainly not stealing any games either, which is what you would expect from a near decade-long, record contract in the first fucking year. :ohno:

You had the refs on your side last night and still didn't pull off a win. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Well, we did lose a goal on a phantom interference call by the refs in the second period. That's not exactly "on your side".

Meh. Do you really make that boarding call late in the 3rd with a 3-3 tie in the playoffs?

Yes. You don't call a hold, hook or trip that doesn't affect the play, but the NHL has been clear since a couple first round series were getting out of control that they were going to be tough on violent penalties. Boarding is a violent and dangerous penalty.

BTW, Devils are almost as bad as the Bruins at diving and faking shit. If you watched the very end of Game 2, one of the Devils completely faked being hit in the face during a skirmish. I will try to go find it.

It's not Bryz. The Devils have simply outplayed the Flyers over the last 2 games. Brodeur didn't do shit in Game 2, in fact he was laid out in a beach chair sipping margaritas over the last 40 minutes of that one. Last night, Matt Carle misplays the Devils 1st goal, and on the 2nd two defensemen goto the same forward & leave Kovalchuk an open pathway to go in all alone. The OT goal they blow a line change & nobody is there to clean up the rebound.

Where is the "best player in the world"?
Where did Courterier go (before getting hurt last night)?
Why is Scottie Hartnell on my milk carton?
Why did Jaromir Jagr suddenly age 10 years?
Why did JVR shoot his load in Game 1 and having nothing left for the past 2 games?
Why are the Devils owning the non-NHL recognized stat called Time of Possession?

Let's face it - the Flyers were the better team in the Pens series, & so far, the Devils have been a better team than the cocktease, er mm cough Flyers.

Game 2 yes, last night... not so much. It was a 50/50 game as evidenced by the fact that it too over 100 minutes to decide it.

Suck it Cindy Crosby!!

Of course it is, and they proceeded to only get 7 SOGs in the first period.

Not yet, there is still hope. On the other hand it seems that the Flyers spent themselves in the Pittsburgh series and have nothing left in the tank.

Man, where the hell did the Kings come from? Think I'd have to put my money on them at this point.

My money has been on the Rangers all along, but that is because I've watched them own the Flyers all year. The Kings look tough and are playing well at the right time.

Agreed, I think it will end tomorrow night in Philly, but if it doesn't book a Game 6 Devils victory. Devils forwards just dominating the Flyers D & the Flyers are fighting themselves as much as anybody - totally off their game & will be out of their game probably after another 60 minutes.

Just don't let the Rangers or Devils win the Cup & I'll be content.

First team in history to beat a 1 and a 2 seed in conference playoffs - winning 8 of 9 games.

They will start on the road, again, against either the 3 seed (Phx) or the 4 seed (NSH)

It’s been an amazing run with a nice sweep of the hapless Blues. Hopefully PHX can close out their series and we can enjoy an all southwestern matchup. 8-)

BTW how busy is the Staples Center staff? The Kings rolling with the Lake show moving on plus the Clippers making the post season. Somebody’s pockets have been getting stuffed the past few weeks.
