Like Gill mentioned, a lot of these starters (juniors) played 2 yrs ago as freshman. Next year was suppose to be 'their' year....

Many have been starting 3 yrs now. Great recruiting class. I think there are close to 30 of them. 2014, the Bison will come back down....but there are sophs and freshman that are contributing now.

I really think the '13 Bison team has a good shot at going undefeated. Kansas State will be tough as nails but barring major injury to key players, IMO, they have a legit chance of going 15-0. Now going out and doing it is a huge task. They will have a huge target on their backs.

But with Perry (DT) and Heagle (SS), both are AA candidates coming back, the defense could even be better in '13. The defense will lose 1 starter for next year....Martin (CB).

Coach Fritz for Sammy said in the post game press conference that the Bison were the best defense they have faced this year......Texas A&M and Baylor included.
NDSU will not go undefeated. They haven't gone undefeated in years. And it won't happen this year. KSU and a MVFC team will get them- that's to be expected, anyway. I think NDSU's seniors have reached the point where they'll expect to win and teeter dangerously close to the "flip the switch" mentality. I'd prefer they don't, but that's human nature.

You're a 'glass 1/2 empty guy'....wouldn't expect anything else in one of your predictions....

With all the starters coming back, they have a very good chance of going undefeated. Doing it is going to be the difficult part.

They have an extremely remote chance. If Vegas puts odds on this, it will be in the single digits percentage wise. No I-AA team in the history of I-AA has gone undefeated playing an all Div I schedule with a I-A on the schedule, much less a Top 20 BCS team.

I would also bet on NDSU losing to Kansas State and maybe 1 other game. 15-0 playing an all Div I schedule + playing a Top 15 BCS would be unprecedented. As far as I know, its never been done before, at least going back to 89', playing an all Div I schedule.

In 82' EKU went 13-0, winning the NC, but they didn't play a I-A that year (Only had 10 regular season games, and playoffs were only 3 rounds/8 teams).

In 89' GSU won one of their 6 national championships going 15-0, but they also didn't play a I-A and played 2 Div II.

In 94' YSU's won one of their 4 national championship going 14-0-1, but besides the tie they didn't play a I-A that yr and played 2 Div II.

In 96' Marshall in their last yr in I-AA won the NC going 15-0 with Randy Moss, but they didn't play a I-A and played a Div II. I remember some people thinking that was the greatest I-AA team ever assembled, as they won their 4 playoff games by an avg of over 31 points per game.

Heck, ASU won 3 straight national titles, and they never went undefeated, going 12-3, 14-1, and 13-2.

NDSU has a very good chance of repeating. I would put the odds at better than 50/50 (and no other team with even a 10% chance). If NDSU does, repeat, with a 12 game regular season schedule, it will likely be at 14-1 or 13-2.

His future is very bright. He is more of a pure passer, I heard he blew the coaching staff away when he came here in regards to how fast he picked things up.

That said this is Jensen's team right now, but with Carson at backup the coaching staff has been able to use Brock's running ability to the fullest extent which makes our offense a bit harder to prepare. Teams have to spy Brock or he'll burn them.
Okay thanks who is the deep threat for you guys this time and hope you recruit some fresh talent to take advantage of this guy and his potential. What about McGinis he at 6-3 200 has good size????
