1) he'll have a 100 million dollar legal team
2) As Ivy can attest - legal teams of enormous size have the resources to bury the prosecution in mountains of endless bullsh!t stretching things out over a period of years
and ultimately tricking the Prosecution into making a mistake - it only takes one mistake
3) You never know who's on the take... piles of money work wonders for slowing things down
4) As much as we pride ourselves on being "Rule of Law" we're 66% banana republic

One reason I entered the mediation field was to help people (especially those not represented by lawyers, which constitute a steadily rising percentage of litigants) resolve their disputes without all that stress and expense. I get more professional satisfaction out of settling a community or neighborhood problem than I did from winning a case at trial.
