I have heard interesting things about that "kayaking" trip. My question would be if getting "lost" is a necessary part of the experience?UNI88 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 10:42 amKalm recommends a good "kayaking" trip to release tensions.Winterborn wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 10:32 am

That's a good question. I wondered if Kalm was literally lost or whether he was speaking metaphorically and he was really just lost in other pleasures.Winterborn wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 10:45 amI have heard interesting things about that "kayaking" trip. I had assumed metaphorically and that relaxants were involved, as his description was a bit vague.UNI88 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 11:04 amThat's a good question. Well it didn't help that China had WHO pimp the lies about the China Virus not spreading human to human into mid January. Oh and how about the surgeon general tweeting that masks don't need to be worn?Gil Dobie wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 2:15 pmGiven the choice to believe GMA or the Mayo Clinic, I'll go with Mayo Clinic.

Can face masks help slow the spread of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) that causes COVID-19? Yes, face masks combined with other preventive measures, such as frequent hand-washing and social distancing, help slow the spread of the virus.
So why weren't face masks recommended at the start of the pandemic? At that time, experts didn't know the extent to which people with COVID-19 could spread the virus before symptoms appeared. Nor was it known that some people have COVID-19 but don't have any symptoms. Both groups can unknowingly spread the virus to others.

I try to keep track of the different ways people make masks almost ineffective every time I walk into a store that requires them. Usually I wind up with about half of the individuals that are following "proper" procedure.Gil Dobie wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 1:25 pm Just returned from Walmart, only store in town that sells new baseball cards. They have a designated mask checker at the door. Saw one couple walk up and walk away because they didn't have a mask. Still a lot of people that are not educated on how to wear a mask, they like to hang the schnoz out there Jimmy Durante style.
