I admit the entire thing sounds fishy. whether it was a republican or just someone just effin' around I don't know. If it was a member of the Republican organization then that person is an idiot. The result of this primary election shows (1) that the democratic party in this state is really not a factor in most statewide elections (they do make a reasonable attempt at the governors race) and (2) the democrats were totally uninterested in this one realizing that beating DeMint is simply out of reach.

Even with that and even considering it is South Carolina, this is dang strange.

I like how the Democrats blame the Republicans...as if they forced DEMOCRATS to vote for someone. People in South Carolina tote the party line, I would 99% of the time a Democrate or Republican, would vote for one of thier own.
