Losses to Texas Tech and JMU (maybe) are all I see...
Our defense is better than last year, and UNHs offense is not as good as last years (IMHO) = WIN even at Durham
10 - 2...you heard it here...
I'll take the under. The Griz have a better shot @ 10-2 than UMass.
I understand...I just have a real good feeling this year...
The secondary is looking outstanding...it will give Texas Tech a run for their money (no, I'm not predicting a win...but respectability against a pass crazy team)...Our "D" line is going to be great also...
Our "O" line is huge and fast...our QB is one of the best in FCS...and our receiving corp is very talented...
Biggest question mark in my mind is the running game...and, while there aren't any big names past Tony Nelson, I trust Coach Brown has something there to complete the team...
So...I'm going out on a limb and saying 10 - 2...I understand your doubts because our schedule is harder this year than last...but I think this team is overall better than last year...

Senior QB Liam Coen won national and Conference Player of the Week honors after an outstanding performance Saturday against Holy Cross...And Freshman Julian Talley was named CAA Freshman of the Week for his part in the win over Holy Cross...
In the first two weeks of the season, the University of Massachusetts football team's 2-0 record camouflaged a lot of mistakes and problems - the biggest of which were the Minutemen's kick coverage and inability to tackle.
As I sat there at JMU Saturday, I could not think of a time I have seen such poor tackling from a Don Brown-coached team...
The defense and special teams seemed to be walking around in a fog...hell, the punter and place kicker each got a tackle because the special teams players twice allowed long returns...
Overrated...ya think?????

10-2 will and should seat us too...
Our defense will be that good this year......
You've got a much better chance at 8-4 than you do at 10-2. You lose to Texas Tech, lose @ JMU, lose @ New Hampshire. That means you've got to go 3-0 @ Holy Cross, home against Richmond and home against Delaware. Good luck with that.
I don't mean to sound prophetic, but I'm 1 for 1 so far for your beloved Minutemen. Stand by to be possibly 2-3 after week 5.

Thank goodness 2-3 will have to wait until week 6 because we have our bye in week 5...

Since Montana is going to run the table this year and will be undefeated going into the playoffs. the only possible loss is at Eastern Washington. And i think we can take care of that. So Umass First ROUND if you get into the playoffs would be here in WA Griz with 25,000 plus this year. So i would just be hoping for the playoffs if i were you. and hope for the other side of the bracket.

That may be...but since we're proven we can win in the comfy confines...the 25,000 plus is not an issue...

That was 2006's Minutemen. 2008's version hasn't even proven they can WIN, let alone win in the comfy confines....
