But why not bring Utah or Kansas? I think Kansas may be a better option, but Utah helps bring a closer flagship university. I do not really get the Tech move. I understand Baylor being a private religious university, but I do not see the benefits to Tech. I could see bringing in Tech if Texas A&M went to the SEC.

Tech gets in only as a package deal with Texas and Texas A&M

Yea I know that, but I could see the Pac-10 having some strength to say we will take 2 not 3.

Then you have this also.

Texas, A&M to Big Ten, Oklahoma to the SEC. If this has any truth I could see the Pac-10 doing the same as the Big Ten and saying just Texas and A&M.

Why on Earth would Utah leave the MWC? They were the main reason the MWC fought for a BCS membership. Utah will not leave.

If they were offered to go to the PAC 10 then I don't know how they would pass up that opportunity. That seems like a decision that doesn't take any thought at all.
