Congrats to the Carroll Saints, the 2010 NAIA National Football Champions! Carroll beats Sioux Falls 10-7 in a game that came down to the wire.
That Van Diest sure is a shitty coach.![]()

Problem is, the NAIA sucks so entirely bad, that there is only two teams in the whole association, Sioux Falls and Carroll. Same with D-III, there is really only two teams and the rest of the serfs.
Knowbody will ever know just how great a college coach Van Diest really is until he leaves the comfort zone that he is in, a college football division with only one competitor. Nobody is going to hire him out of there without putting up the bucks to lure him away, and nobody is going to put up that kind of money because he is unproven.
'Zactly why Montana has never and will never hire him.
Re: NAIA National Championship
That's where you evidently don't know jack shit about D-III. The biggest reason Mount Union and Whitewater make it so often, is because their committee sucks them off and gives them home field every year no matter what. University of St. Thomas (same conference that I played in) was seeded higher than Union and would have had to travel there. That's the way they work.Wedgebuster wrote:AZGrizFan wrote:

They still DOMINATE Willie, even if they always get to play at home, if the division was truly competitive and not the two team top heavy division they appear to be, somebody else would get by these two to the championship game.
Mount Union has only missed the final game once in the last ten years I believe.
The New York Yankees and all their dough does not put them in the World Series that often.

That is domination, and not much different than the NAIA, two monster pike in a pond of bluegills.dbackjon wrote:D3 Title Games since moving the Championship to Salem, VA:
