I'm thinking 6-5 or 7-4. No shot at Frisco.ChickenMan wrote:The way UD looked tonight.. 5-6 wouldn't be too bad for the Hens.93henfan wrote:5-6

Congrats to Towson on two terrific wins to start the season. Seriously, I am not surprised they beat 'Nova today...said it earlier in the week since 'Nova has some serious problems this season. Only thing I'm surprised about is just how bad they defeated 'Nova.

The only things we can say for sure of the CAA as of now is...
1. Delaware has definitely fallen off some since last year.
2. Villanova is bad. Eew.

Really trying not to look too much into it but how about WM? I thought for sure they'd beat VMI by more then just a score of 24-7.Pwns wrote:The only things we can say for sure of the CAA as of now is...

I guess Villanova getting worked last week wasn't a fluke.andy7171 wrote:31-10 middle of the 4th quarter.
Towson beating a top 25 team, will any respect be shown on Monday? Doubt it. Too many Blue hen fans voting.

They might get a couple votes in the coaches poll, wouldn't surprise me. They've had a couple blow out wins.....AZGrizFan wrote:I guess Villanova getting worked last week wasn't a fluke.andy7171 wrote:31-10 middle of the 4th quarter.

Passing game still shaky; hopefully another week and a DII opponent gives us time....we"ll see.ODUalum11 wrote:Really trying not to look too much into it but how about WM? We certainly haven't looked like a playoff team to this point IMO.
After today's result in Harrisonburg JMU fans may be sweating bullets over Liberty next week.
Top of the CAA currently looks to be down, bottom improved. Watta league.

CAA has fallen off a lot this year. Either that or the whole power structure of the CAA is changing for at least a season (besides W&M) Gonna be real exciting to see.

maybe ODU joined the CAA in the right year if its in fact going to be a down year regardless of what the win/loss record will show.GrizMonster wrote:CAA has fallen off a lot this year. I agree. With the powers that JMU, Delaware, W&M, and Villanova have been the last few years, this is a strange year for the CAA.ODUalum11 wrote:maybe ODU joined the CAA in the right year if its in fact going to be a down year regardless of what the win/loss record will show.GrizMonster wrote:CAA has fallen off a lot this year. I'm starting to believe ODU might be able to win more than 2 games in the CAA this year...a thought I didnt have even last week.GrizMonster wrote:I agree. With the powers that JMU, Delaware, W&M, and Villanova have been the last few years, this is a strange year for the CAA.ODUalum11 wrote:

Re: Towson record
I bet you guys get 4-5 wins in the CAA this year. You are a new, really talented team, also with an awesome following, and the CAA isn't that good this year. I am not saying CAA champs (That is gonna be Bill and Mary) or play-offs, but I think you guys will have a breakout season.ODUalum11 wrote:I'm starting to believe ODU might be able to win more than 2 games in the CAA this year...a thought I didnt have even last week.GrizMonster wrote:

Re: Towson record
I really hope so, that would silence the critics thats for sure. Like HC Bobby Wilder said if we get to 7 wins we might be on the bubble for the playoffs however at this point, I have absolutely no idea what to expect. IMO we really could be competitive and beat anybody in the CAA or get blown out by anybody in the CAA...its like year one (2009) all over again.GrizMonster wrote:I bet you guys get 4-5 wins in the CAA this year. I suspect that everyone in the CAA will have at least two league loses this year. I see a lot of parity.. but unlike in previous seasons.. no really outstanding program(s).

Re: Towson record
Towson could really be turning the corner this year ... I'm happy for them ... they need a good year to get that fan base going.
After JMU's game yesterday ... I'm admittedly more afraid of Liberty ... but that being said ... the scoreboard did not reflect the actual game yesterday. JMU had many long drives and almost 400 yards of offense ... but had 4 turnovers ... where CCSU barely moved the ball all game and aside from 1 long drive and 2 long-ish plays ... did not put much together offensively ...
I don't envision a 9-2 CAA team anymore ... I could see a bunch clustered at 8-3/7-4 ... with JMU, UD, UR, WM, Towson, UNH, UMass all mixed up
