Thats a good point....a UCF/South Florida rivalry IMO would be very VERY similar to the ODU/VCU rivalry.

Another rumor is that the Big East has reached out to Boise State....

I also heard that neither side is interested. Boise would insure that the Big East keeps it's BCS bid, but I think that will happen anyway.

The 4 games they played were huge and well attended. USF didn't want any part of the rivalry. They already play each other in almost every sport. USF looks down on UCF.

(WMC-TV) - University of Memphis Athletic Director R.C. Johnson said the Tigers "deserve" to be in the SEC in an interview Monday with Action News 5.

Appearing on the first day of 'Paint the Town Blue' week, Johnson addressed the university's position in the midst of a flurry of conference re-alignments in recent months.

"We want to try to get ourselves in the best possible place," Johnson said. "Ultimately we would like to be in the SEC. That's where we think we belong geographically. We think we deserve to be."
