I have some FB friends in Texas and they are all butthurt Cruzies suddenly exploring what a Libertarian believes in.
I still don't understand how any conservative can vote for Hillary in de facto fashion. The ramifications are too frightening to be making cute little moral stands. I will never let those people off the hook if Hillary is elected. They are 20x worse than any liberal.

If one finds Trump just as abhorrent as Clinton then I don't know if you could say they are voting for Hillary in de facto fashion.93henfan wrote:I have some FB friends in Texas and they are all butthurt Cruzies suddenly exploring what a Libertarian believes in.

Eh, you already called me (by association as identifying as a Trump supporter) stupid and unwashed (and whatever other condescending adjectives you hurled) about 85 times before the last one and I still showed up. Good, although I haven't gone after the "Republican electorate" (that's a JSO thing) as much as I've gone after Trump himself. My carapace is equally thick. Gary, Gary.
Honestly, I don't know if I can vote for anyone who promotes Black Lives Matter fiction.

Maybe I'll have to take some nausea medicine and vote for Jill Stein.

Re: Johnson Swelling
What I've noticed about BLM in the Twin Cities, is they are not a violent organization. They are simply just standing up for their beliefs. The violence begins when the white, lefty, trust fund babies get involved. A majority arrested in the I-94 protest were white and young. Even the trust fund baby governor Dayton (Target & Dayton Stores) had to get involved with his stupid rhetoric. These are the people that make BLM look bad. BLM does have real issues that do matter if you look beyond the static of the TFB.

Gary Johnson is a sellout. Endorsing BLM, picking Bill Weld
, loving the Muslins.
My brother is a diehard Libertarian. He's given them money, has worked on campaigns, and has been a delegate to the national convention twice and he's not voting for Johnson.

Re: Johnson Swelling
Johnson is the closest thing to a socially-tolerant, small-government candidate that we have this year. He's said a few things that made me wince, he always looks like he's just smoked a joint, and Weld is really a Rockefeller Republican, but I'm still supporting the Libertarian ticket this year.HI54UNI wrote:Gary Johnson is a sellout. Again with BLM thing. I'm not a movement guy either and their defense of the Bernie interruption was stupid. But Johnson recognizing the validity of their issue should hardly be a turn off. The Dallas cops were fraternizing with them for Christ's sake.
See Gil's excellent post above.

Re: Johnson Swelling
Gary Johnson having a meltdown over the use of illegal immigrant. Jump to the 4:00 minute mark.

And at the end he says Obama's move to grant work visas to illegals was appropriate.
He did get it right when he said that they are coming here because of the jobs.
How can anybody vote for this moran.

I lean more toward Trump's position than Johnson but just out of curiosity, what do you find moranic? It's technically illegal, but we look the other way on a whole host of illegal activity in this country. Reagan deemed them not illegal with the stroke of a pen. Like Johnson says, you'd probably do the same thing in their position. There's a demand for cheap labor here, that's why the come. Illegal is a dog whistle term. There are many employers who want them here. That's an invitation and tacit acceptance. Undocumented is just as accurate.HI54UNI wrote:Gary Johnson having a meltdown over the use of illegal immigrant. Jump to the 4:00 minute mark.

The Richmond Times Dispatch, a conservative paper with a long tradition of endorsing GOP candidates for President, just endorsed Johnson!

On immigration Johnson is an open borders, pro amnesty liberal.
And no pro 2nd amendment person would choose as their running mate a gun control liberal. Just go look at Weld's history & past statements on gun control..
