This isn't relevant to the causes of climate change, but it is relevant when talking about the consequences.
When you see a group of scientists making the claim that wet bulb temperature could make the outdoors uninhabitable within a century you've really got to be scratching your head. Mammals and warm-blooded animals have existed in an atmosphere with much more CO2.
A big part of the disconnect from the science community and the public is the fault of the scientific community for letting implausible stuff get out into the media.

That's kinda a dumb statement ^ up there...
CO2 changes over time are relevant when one considers the amount of time
a different set of mammals existed during periods of higher C02 some 60 million years ago
The present collection of mammals excluded
There is no mammal alive today that could live in the atmosphere from 60 millions years ago
and the reptiles that existed (like Crocodiles) were 35 feel long and weighed 8 tons
Sh!t was radically different

I asked these questions of JSO earlier in the thread and never got a reply...Chizzang wrote:Pwns wrote:This isn't relevant to the causes of climate change, but it is relevant when talking about the consequences.

How do you know we would have done fine with the atmosphere the dinosaurs breathed? Much less the world in general? Weren't mammals fairly small and getting there ass kicked??
