Division I puts a Moratorium on Membership
Re: Division I puts a Moratorium on Membership
Why do Liberty fans think they will be ready by 2011?
Re: Division I puts a Moratorium on Membership
hard to quantify.
honestly- 50% blind aspiration/50% confidence in what is being built down there.
you'd truly have to visit campus to see the HUGE steps being taken to revamp the program- to say we are optimistic is likely the understatement of the year.
coaching staff, recruiting and facility upgrades have become the number 1,2 and 3 priorities- we have seen positive results from the changes already and expect a BIG return on the investment this season.
we are, however, quite conscious of the fact that we need to earn the respect from the rest of the country- it certainly won't just be given to us after the track record we've established.

Why would Delaware want to move to the MAC? YSU, you can have that jump. That is like getting a promotion at a job with the same salary, benefits and office but more responsibilities! Where is the benefit? The MAC is not even geographically a match for us or Temple either for that matter. I respect the CAA, Gateway, SoCon and Montana more than the MAC. I am not saying that they are better but the respect runs a whole lot deeper! The top three or four from any of those conferences every year can compete in the MAC. Who wants to play Directional Michigan every week?

You might not respect them but that won't stop CMU from spanking #3 NDSU real hard. The Chippiwas don't really care what FCS thinks of the MAC.

I'm with you on this one ronbo. NDSU fans have been boasting around with a huge chip on their shoulders since last fall and a little dose of reality will go a long way to bringing them back to earth. For a program that has yet to play a post season Division I game they sure think their sheet don't stink. A quick look at a NDSU board and one would think the Bison were in the BCS.ronbo wrote:You might not respect them but that won't stop CMU from spanking #3 NDSU real hard. Surely the bison had a respectable record last year but many of those wins were against teams that didn't have their number yet. Intraconference games between established conference rivals are tough to win consistantly. NDSU fans might think wins over No. Dak were difficult to get. Wait until they have to face YSU and UNI year in and year out.
