2014 Aaron Murray Georgia, released 9/3/2016, Eagles practice squad
2016 Kevin Hogan Stanford, released 9/3/2016, Backup for Browns

Mel Kiper is saying they will draft a QB this year
So two years out of three so far? Doesn't seem like that's never Cleets.
In the case of the Chiefs, are they wasting a pick because they don't make good QB picks. Will it matter if they continue to draft the Aaron Murray's of the world?

fair enough...
So he has no clue how to develop the QB talent that he drafts..?
or as Gil points out just burning QB draft choices on guys nobody would even draft

I'd say he has no clue how to draft a talented QB versus how to develop QB talent... :twocents:

He did a pretty good job with AJ Feeley and Kevin Kolb FWIW.

Yes, there are busts every single year. I've watched two years of Tech football. Enough to know that Mahomes will be just fine in the NFL. Juuuuust fine. How much Mahomes film have you watched?
Maybe the experts should just listen to you.
Maybe they should. :coffee: :coffee:

didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Goff wasn't going to be very good. You know....small hands... :coffee:

Drafting a QB is not an exact science. There is luck involved. I think Reid can develop QBs if he's given one with potential.
Being wrong about a topic is called post partisanism - kalm

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

And who exactly is going to "give him one" ..?
He has complete autonomy over the draft and has since day one in KC

:coffee:

and he's drafted two clunkers

I believe John Dorsey is the GM in Kansas City and he has some say in the draft. Dorsey comes from the Ron Wolf family tree of drafting QBs. Wolf who has demonstrated success at picking up QBs (traded for Favre and drafted Ty Detmer, Mark Brunell, Matt Hasselbeck and Aaron Brooks) has stated "It’s blind luck, if I knew how to put together a quarterback, I’d have my own island somewhere." To demonstrate this Wolf has also drafted clunkers in Jay Barker, Kyle Wacholz and Ron McAda.

Belechik drafted Rohan Davey, Kliff Kingsbury, Kevin O'Connell, Zac Robinson...

Can you imagine if Bledsoe had not gone down with injury? Brady may have never seen the light of day in NE.

To be fair Brady was 2 on the depth chart
The New England coaching staff has since admitted Brady beat out Bledsoe on all pre-season charts

It wasn't going to be long before he beat out Bledsoe
Your narrative has long since been dispelled - Brady was on his way up

The players who were interviewed since have said as much...
Troy Brown wide receiver said that Brady was far better in that pre-season than Bledsoe in 2001

and Ted Johnson starting middle linebacker in 2001 has also said that the coaching staff in the locker room after the final pre-season game said that Brady won the starting job but because of experience they were going with Bledsoe

After all Bledsoe was their 1st round pick and under HUGE contract
