You know, last week i was driving down the highway and there was this bad accident in front of me. I don't know what happened but all of a sudden there was this vehicle I think was one of those low rider pickup trucks flying through the air and cartwheeling. Pieces flying. I guess I was maybe a tenth of a mile or so behind the accident when it happened.

And I went into zombie mode. I could see that a bunch of other people were running over to check on whoever was in that vehicle. I did not because there were already a bunch of other people doing it. Also, I must admit, I probably didn't want to see. I just rolled down my window and asked a woman who was walking towards it and asked her if someone had run the red light at the intersection it happened at. She said she didn't know.

But it really was a zombie mode type of thing. I just turned right and went home.

I was in a 9-12 grade high school. Since I graduated at 17, I'm sure I was 13 when I was a freshman.

Yeah, some classes, like choir/band, art, shop, where there was only classes, not grade delineated classes. Also in sports, more commonly in the olympic type sports like cross country, track, tennis, swimming, wrestling, gymnastics, etc. Team sports like BBall, football, baseball, softball, etc., had grade specific teams (unless you were a super stud, then you could be on varsity as a freshman.)

Very rarely, if ever, but when classes let out my school certainly had 18 year olds walk the corridors when 14 year olds were out there. Rode the same buses, used the same bathrooms, etc. When a school spans 4 different grades it's hard to do otherwise.
