You needed to witness him swatting a housefly to know that he wasn't PERFECT??

Actually Dback and Cleets took the Missus out for dinner when you all were here.

That's what I figured but I wasn't sure. I had an argument with an asshole vegetarian and his moral high ground a few years back his stance on animals like Pork, Beef, and so on for human consumption. He told me the obvious "meat is murder" and all that bullshit and I started him off with the fact that they are crop that we raise for consumption and that if he didn't like it then he was doing his part to slow the consumption and that I didn't hold it against him. I asked him what he was doing to slow the senseless murder that occurred to produce his meal. He said that since he was Vegetarian he didn't kill animals and took no part in that.

I told him that field mice and rabbits are slaughtered in the production of a field harvest at a rate of something like 2.8/per acre. I took that and multiplied it by the number of acres of farmland in the US alone (I can't remember the # now but it was huge) and told him that he was responsible for the murder of animals like everyone else. The # was higher than the amount of Beef slaughtered yearly in the US.

He didn't have an answer for that except to say that "come on man that's field mice, not Cattle."

I said a life is a life. There is no moral difference. At that point he was all out of ammo.

The life of the fly here seems to prove that PETA does actually believe that and it reminded me of this exchange with the dumbfuck.

in college i had a vegan friend say "you couldn't kill it yourself, how dare you eat it?" so i went to my roomates families ranch in western ND, and got to kill a cow and process it... while it wasn't pleasant, it was the best damn steak i ever ate that night... and i don't regret it one bit.

i always point to my canine teeth and say "nature wants us to eat meat... deal with it"

but yeah... i learned about vegan stink first hand when i attempted to hook up with a vegan girl... certain acts are impossible with that kinda girl... yuck.

basically, every time they do this, they know people aren't with them, but it gets their name in the paper, and it gets people talking about their agenda.

and while it alienates some (who would likely never support them anyway) it's a way for them to brand themselves as THE animal rights group in the US... and in that capacity they have been successful.

i disagree with their methods, but a lot more people know PETA than their more moderate counterpart ASPCA.
You're right....that approach works for Fred Phelp's clan as well.......

I've known animal-rights Vegans. They think "The Lion King" movie is an accurate portrayel of nature and most have done few outdoor activities (hiking, camping, huntung, fishing, boating, etc.). They have no idea how cruel nature is and don't realize that most lab mice will have better lives than wild mice. They tell you about all the terrible things meat does to your body and will cite studies to show it but ignore studies that show that meat is good in moderation as vitamin adsorption is more efficient from meat and that brain deterioration is less likely to occur in old age in people who eat meat. And a lot of them won't even eat baked white meat but have no problems with ecstacy and LSD.

Obama will rot in hell for his callous taking of that fly's life.

Simply amazing that he, an African American, who has experienced first hand the fear of attempting to live in a world that views him as somehow "different" than the norm, would show so little tolerance to the poor, outcast fly.

True colors.
