It's interesting how many of the things on the list are a function of local government. Generally speaking local government does most things pretty well in spite of the mandates put on local government by the idiots at the state and federal level.

I agree with you Alfie but for someone reason I envision your ideal government as some sort of darwinian style feudal system with you as the Lord or one of his henchmen taking whatever you wanted from those not able to defend themselves until someone more ruthless than you captured you and put you to work emptying piss buckets and shoveling pig slop. :D

Well, it is true that the Government is involved in every aspect of your life. Tom, I understand the point you are making and know you recognize government in your MOST aspects of your life, you work in a Credit Union for christs sake.

The point is, that I think most of these are local governments(some of which are worse than the Federal).

The ONLY value the government brings is the $250,000 deposit guarantee. Other than that, they just muddy the waters, create a TON of bureaucratic red tape we have to wade through, and get in the way. :shake: :shake: :shake:
