Funny you should mention Carlson. He announced yesterday that some sleazy NYT reporter is about to issue a story revealing Carlson’s home address, with the goal of facilitating an Antifa ransacking of his residence. That very thing happened to Carlson at his last residence. His family was terrorized. I’m no fan of Carlson, but this Schitt is beyond the pale.JoltinJoe wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 7:26 am Something troubling/interesting is happening. In June, the most watched TV show in prime time was "Tucker Carlson Tonight." Note, not just most watched cable news show; or most watched cable show. Most watched. Period. Including network TV. And the second most watched show was Hannity.
This rating surge for Fox programs is similar to what happened in 2016. As the summer progressed, and advanced into fall, more viewers started tuning into FOX news shows. But even in 2016, the FOX shows were not beating out network prime time shows.
Of course, networks are now showing re-runs in prime time, so it is not the hottest time period for them. Still, I'm afraid that these remarkable ratings numbers speak to the potential of wider support for Trump than the polls seem to be capturing at the moment. This is not going to be a slam dunk for Biden.

I don't know how NY is but in SC, I can put your name into the tax database and find the address for most public officials or celebrities. Some of them don't put it through an LLC or something like that to hide.

So you’re saying that millions of Trump voters will emerge like the Mole People on November 3? Mmmkay.
You hire Presidents in large part for their crisis management skills. Measured by that rubric, Trump has been a colossal failure, and it gets worse every time he tweets.

Well considering Biden's platform openly supports some of the Green New Deal rhetoric, I'm thinking it won't help his cause with those folks.Winterborn wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 12:09 pmAnd the question is has Trump gave them enough of a reason to go back on that decision and/or have the democrats done enough to earn back those votes.

One of my classes was called “Games”. It’s where we learned a variety of activities like arts and crafts to wall ball in training for engaging various populations from kids to adults to the developmentally disabled and experienced playing them. Rigorous academic training I tell ya.

Do I think it's anywhere near likely? No but Trump cracked open that door on his own when asked whether he would accept the election results ...
I think it's more likely that Trump fears he's going to get his azz kicked and withdraws with a serious "health issue". Then he can claim for the rest of his life that he would have won if not for the "health issue".I have to see. Look, you — I have to see. No, I’m not going to just say ‘yes.’ I’m not going to say no and I didn’t last time either

I still doubt he’ll be the Republican candidate come November.
Even if he is, more and more demographics are going to Biden. Biden leads Trump by 15 in the suburbs which is a historic margin for a Dem. Trump beat Clinton by 10.

Trumps ego is too massive to allow him to drop out. Though, if the trends continue he might have to weigh the optics of Dropping Out vs Losing. Losing would be worst, for him.

Yep. Aren't bone spurs a form of quitting? Isn't bankruptcy a form of quitting? Trump is in it for himself and he quits when it's convenient and profitable. Quitting might be easier then losing on his monstrous but fragile ego.
