Nice move pitching that guy on three days rest there Girardi. :thumb:
Yeah I had a bad feeling about that all damn day. Oh well, if we end up losing this one, we can win it in front of the NY fans.
I like the Phillies chances to force a game 7, I think the Phils will have an edge in starting pitching in game 6. But the Yankees will have a decided edge in starting pitching if there is a game 7. Sabathia has proven that he can handle pitching on 3 days rest, and I'm not sure who the Phillies will have pitch.

But I'm getting ahead of myself here, there is a long way to go before game 7, or game 6 for that matter.

GAWD..!!!!
Howard is a terrible terrible first baseman

All he has to do is scoop up the ball and walk towards home plate... Damon can't leave the base path (or he's out) and the guy on third wouldn't be able to score...

Howard is a brain dead lumbering troll at first base...(Absolutely Terrible) :wtf:

You haven't seen the half of it. He's actually improved drastically this year. Still, you get the occasional brain fart and intended double -play ball to second that gets thrown to left field. The bat makes up for it (usually).

Unbelievably BAD... in High School we were told (over and over) after each pitch - say to yourself...
A) What do I do if the ball is hit to me..?
B) Repeat...
C) What do I do if the ball is hit to me..?
D) Repeat...

It should be second nature... that said: Howard looks surprised every time the ball gets near him... like he woke up and found himself playing first base in the world series

It's a safe wager he'll never win a gold glove. The MVP certainly wasn't awarded to him for his fancy fielding.

If somebody paid me 25 million a year to Iron... I'd learn how to Iron...
(I have to admit I'm already pretty good)

A major League baseball player has no excuse for not understanding the game...
being confused by "what to do if I get the ball" at this level is ridiculous

Yep. Cliff finally tired. Those two HRs by the Phils in the seventh were big insurance.
