I'm rooting for the Cards to somehow get that 2nd seed in the playoffs. I'd much rather the NFC East champ Eagles play the Lions in the first round and then travel to play the Cards and whoever they can find to play QB. The Cards were 4 points better than the Eagles with Palmer - now, not so much. Shame for them, because I think with Palmer they'd have a fighter's chance against Seattle or Green Bay.

The Cards will apparently win the tiebreaker with Green Bay and get the 1 seed if they both win out, FWIW.GannonFan wrote:I'm rooting for the Cards to somehow get that 2nd seed in the playoffs. I think Green Bay is more vulnerable than people think. I still haven't seen much sign that their run defense doesn't suck—they've just managed to not play any good running teams of late. They could be in trouble if they have to play Seattle again or the Cowboys, two teams with strong power run games.

Cards will be the 5th seed, since Seattle is going to win out, take the division, and earn the #1 or #2 seed.GannonFan wrote:I'm rooting for the Cards to somehow get that 2nd seed in the playoffs. Seattle's D is top 3 in every major category; yards, pass D, rush D, and points. You lose.dbackjon wrote:Grizalltheway wrote:

Old 49ers dominate the first half, then the "new" 49ers show up with some help from the refs, and all is right with the world with Seattle back on top.

The calls they made in Seattle's favor made up for the non-calls that should've gone against SF. Quit your crying, and get ready to watch Seattle's tune-up game in the same stadium they'll be playing at in February (kind of like last year @NYG).dbackjon wrote:uofmman1122 wrote:Old 49ers dominate the first half, then the "new" 49ers show up with some help from the refs, and all is right with the world with Seattle back on top.![]()

Losing 5 of the last 6 against EWU is quite the hangover. Maybe drink some water?uofmman1122 wrote:Almost as impressive as the Griz hangover.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote: If the Cowboys hang on, the team Seattle has played will be 0-8 the following week over the last 8 weeks.

Meh, at least we don't have the dubious distinction of giving up 60 points, at home, in the playoffs.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Losing 5 of the last 6 against EWU is quite the hangover. Maybe drink some water?uofmman1122 wrote: Almost as impressive as the Griz hangover.

Nice win for the Cowboys. Don't lose to the Colts next week though, because the Eagles hold the tiebreaker.

Eh, what can you do. Ultimately doesn't matter, neither the Eagles or Cowboys can beat the Pack or the Hawks in the playoffs (and probably can't beat the Cards either). After last week, it was clear the Eagles were no better than the #3 team in the NFC. No real change after tonight, that's as high as it gets right now for the Birds. Tonight was minor league football, the real stuff will happen when the Pack and the Hawks play for the conference championship.Vidav wrote:GannonFan wrote:I'm rooting for the Cards to somehow get that 2nd seed in the playoffs. The Juggernaut Seattle that didn't win their division and the cheese heads who are neck and neck with Detroit are foregone conclusions for the NFC championship? Ok.
