JFC, people need to chill the fuck out.
In Trump's 'LIBERATE' tweets, extremists see a call to arms
Trump's tweets pushed many online extremist communities to speculate whether the president was advocating for armed conflict, an event they’ve termed “the boogaloo."

By Ben Collins and Brandy Zadrozny
When President Donald Trump tweeted "LIBERATE MINNESOTA!" on Friday morning, some of his most fervent supporters in far-right communities — including those who have agitated for violent insurrection — heard a call to arms.
The tweet was one of three sent from the president's account, along with "LIBERATE MICHIGAN!" and "LIBERATE VIRGINIA, and save your great 2nd Amendment. It is under siege!"
Trump's tweets came after small protests by Trump supporters broke out in a handful of states, many of which were fueled by anti-vaccination and anti-government groups. Anti-government sentiment has percolated among far-right extremists in recent weeks over the stay-at-home orders governors have issued to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Trump's tweets, however, pushed many online extremist communities to speculate whether the president was advocating for armed conflict, an event they’ve termed "the boogaloo," for which many far-right activists have been gearing up and advocating since last year

Re: Coronavirus
I would think mostly because we didn't have a vaccine for it (even though the flu shot is somewhat ineffective).

Because so many of them happened before 2015 when WHO established a best practice of not naming them after geographic locations, people’s names, species of animal or food, cultural, population, industry or occupational references, and terms that incite undue fear.

Re: Coronavirus
True. We’re still learning. There are stories from Asian countries of reinfection but I haven’t seen that from here or Europe yet. Isn’t herpes a virus that stays with a person and has reoccurring symptoms?
There’s also the additional wave(s) concern. I think you’ll see a slow relaxation of business closures through June but travel restrictions will continue. Idaho has now restricted its borders. Police are driving through golf course parking lots and ticketing Washington plates.

Re: Coronavirus
There's a slim chance of ever having a vaccine for this, IMO. If we do get one, it will have mild success at best.

No shit, barbecue sauce.
It's not a great comparison since it is a couple orders of magnitude off.

Re: Coronavirus
Cleets uses memes that are completely false, what's wrong with using one that's only out of date (and clearly has the date)?

Re: Coronavirus
I'm not talking about Cleets. I'm talking about another poster who used a WAY out of date graphic to make Coronavirus more insignificant than it really is.
You know guys....it really IS exhausting battling the lies of the Trump Administration, Fox News and this board......

Anyone with a functioning brainstem can figure out how big the Coronavirus would be based on current numbers compared to the big killers in history.Skjellyfetti wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 4:01 pmNo shit, barbecue sauce.
