False. The announcer that comes on after that intro talks about American values and what not and then they edit out "under God"? If they wanted to tribute American patriotism and what we stand for then play the ENTIRE Pledge of Allegiance. NBC is going to get hit HARD because of this and they deserve it. There is no reason to take it out.

So they did the ORIGINAL VERSION of the pledge. under God, indivisible (not invisible, so I guess you don't even know what you are complaining about) was added during the height of the "Godless Commie" scares of the 50's. It totally ruins the pledge, and makes a mockery of the original intent of the pledge, which was penned by a Baptist minister.
