After JMU's game yesterday ... I'm admittedly more afraid of Liberty ... but that being said ... the scoreboard did not reflect the actual game yesterday. JMU had many long drives and almost 400 yards of offense ... but had 4 turnovers ... where CCSU barely moved the ball all game and aside from 1 long drive and 2 long-ish plays ... did not put much together offensively ...
I don't envision a 9-2 CAA team anymore ... I could see a bunch clustered at 8-3/7-4 ... with JMU, UD, UR, WM, Towson, UNH, UMass all mixed up
To suggest JMU was dominat in the game is an outright lie. Yes, the Dukes had a lot of momentium, but look at CCSU's 3rd down conversion rate - not bad. The CCSU passing game was much better than JMU's. To suggest CCSU didn't force JMU's turnovers is a little unfair. JMU was ceratinly the better team, but CCSU put the game in doubt the until the last 4 minutes.
Towson has 2 impressive wins. A lot more impressive than what ODU has done so far. I expect to see Towson in the top-25. Congrats to Andy and the Tigers so far.

After making this post I was questioned why I expected Towson to beat Colgate. I had no hard data but I was aware of the type of program Coach Rob Ambrose was building. Towson scored 35 unanswered points at one point and gave up two fourth quarter touchdowns when it started subbing in its reserves, beating Colgate 42-17. It helped that Nate Eachus was out for the Raiders but he would not have meant a 25-point swing on this night.
Anyone following Towson and the CAA may need to reassess this Tigers team. They're already at three wins after three games by a combined score of 115-30. I won't predict a final win total but teams don't win three games by an average of 38-10 without being pretty decent.
I'm anxious to see what Towson can do against UMD! That being said ... I can see Towson going 5-3 in conference this year ... they need to start being in the playoff discussion. After 4 weeks ... this is how I see things.
We should be ranked this week for sure. And 3-0 heading into Maryland, is quite the dream come true. Espcially THIS Maryland team. The one that imploded against Temple. The one with a new quarter back controversy. The one that plays Georgia Tech the week after.
I've got my tickets!
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."

Towson playing well isn't cute anymore.
Time for you to fall back into your comfort zone.
Meh, I'm still bitter. I need another night of sleep. Nice win last night Andy.

OK Last time Towson started 3-0 was 2006. I don't expect ODU fans to remember this, but that year was an epic destruction of Delaware with their savior, Unibrow, at the helms. I'll let those Old Gurd fans tell you about that game in Newark.
I'll clue you in, no punts for Towson.

Colgate has been terrible to start the year. The Eachus injury is big but even with him their defense is still terrible. The Raiders might be one of the most dissapointing teams in the country so far. Lehigh barely edged them as the favorite in the PL.
W Albany 37-34 OT
L Holy Cross 7-37
L Dartmouth 20-37
L Towson 17-42

This week, I will be a big Towson fan. I would love to see the Tigers beat the Twerps. Andy, where can I get a Towson shirt in time for the game? I plan on eating nachos while watching the game and, well you know how sloppy that can get, I will need it to wipe my mouth.

I thought they were, but its looking more and more like Albany just folded in the second half of the Colgate game.

Towson is going to fail again and break your heart Andy. Do not fall into the trap.

I just went back and read the write up of our first game against Morgan State to get the attendance number. The article reported that we had 534 yards total offense against the Bears. It mentions the last time Towson had over 500 yards offense was in 2006 when we rolled up 627 in Newark.

I say again, Towson is going to fold. Fold I tell ya.

I really only expect to win 2 maybe 3 more games. We're still pretty young. Our secondary is good, but there are no proven back ups. Only RS freshman.
5 or 6 wins goes past everyones expectations.

Is that Andy showing humility or is he just hungover on a Monday morning?
Saw the crowd pics from Saturday - unbelivable turnaround crowd wise for a TU program that has never drawn. I know it was HC - will be interesting to see as weather gets colder & a few L's get tacked on the record how the student crowd does.

Over these three games, we're averaging 9125.
And both humity and hungoverity.
Oh and the score was 35-3 in the 4th quarter. Colgate called two time outs and spiked the ball to kill the clock all within the last minute for that last TD. Nice work coach.

I'll venture 3-2 from here; nicely in at 8-3. UNH looked in Wmsbg like they had a defense in name only. Like your chances in that one. Guessing you'll split with W&M and UD since who knows which Tribe and which UD team will show up.
