Never?
Yep. Cherry Hills would be the closest it has come until 2015 when it's at Chambers Bay in Tacoma. Spokane and Seattle however have hosted PGA Championships.

As the 1st round is close to coming to an end there are a total of 5 (FIVE) players under par. And yesterday would've been the easiest weather day to play Merion supposedly......

It's the Philadelphia sports karma rubbing off on the golfers. None of them seem capable of winning a championship.

Tiger was wincing in pain today. He's clearly injured.

I would also advise Lindsey Vonn to give up the 2-hole tonight. Tiger did not look relaxed from the opening tee shot today.

I'm loving MSNBC's link title to scoring:

Live scoreboard: Tiger Woods at the 2013 US Open

Tiger is tied for 38th, 6 strokes off the pace. How 'bout some love for Donald, Mickelson, Goggin - you know, the guys who are leading it? :tothehand:

Who hit that shot and what is the ruling? Did Petterson get to put his ball back to where it was and then hit - think that is normally the rule when a ball on the putting surface gets hit by another approach shot.

I read there was no penalty - but didn't see if he was able to put it back to original spot

Tiger just four strokes back now.

Regarding coverage, #1 is always going to get the press. Especially when #1 is a poon hound that knows how to treat a lady. And by treat a lady, I mean poke the two-hole.

Assuming he makes the cut, even if he's back 25 strokes on Sunday the papers will read "Tiger in the Hunt" with his picture plastered all over the front page. I just hate it for some of the guys who are actually playing well that get little or no coverage until the 5th or 6th paragraph. :twocents:

No penalty, ball placed back at original spot.

Who are your two players, wise ass? I'll need all wagers before play resumes. I'll even let you pick Poulter, who already has a three stroke advantage over El Tigre. I'm giving everyone a huge head start here.

If either of your two picks win the US Open, you get a hat. If Tiger wins, I get a hat.

Pussies.
I'll take Mickelson and Mahan. Both at E through 5/6 holes...

Pretty weak way to win a bet, on an undisclosed injury. Tiger's arm is falling off for chrissakes. :ohno: :tothehand:

His elbow doesn't work. Gotta admire him for not pulling out of the tournament. Given up four more strokes already today. Clearly playing in pain. Pretty dumb to keep playing IMHO.
