Can't get over the hump? 3 World Cup titles and 3 Euro titles aren't enough? By your definition, then, the only elite team is Brazil, even Italy hasn't won as many Euro's, or gotten as far as the Germans have.
Lot of raping going on in this Germany/Portugal match. This is brutal to watch if you're a Portugal fan (of which I am). Helps the U.S. though if it comes down to goal differential for 2nd place, assuming they don't get ass blasted themselves like Portugal.
Anyways, why are some you guys all worked up what a crotchety old man thinks? Of course there is diving and some nancy play in soccer, it's 100% true that it is a major downfall of the game. Same kind of crap holds true for every game. So what? You still enjoy watching it otherwise, right? So meh.

Germany hasn't won a major title since the mid-90s. I'm talking about the recent generation of German players. No doubt they are a world power, but they keep falling short for the last ~20 years.

Sorry about CR7 and Porto, in the end their demise is better for us. Hopefully tonight will go well for us, Germany blows the doors off Ghana, we show well against Porto, and don't get ass blasted by Germany. Advance.

I completely agree. I should have stated before that I am NOT rooting for Portugal this WC because they are in the same group as the U.S. who I'm obviously rooting for since I don't hate my own country. If they advance I'll jump back on their bandwagon

I don't think anything of the sort.
Seems to me the NFL players think it's part of the game/pageantry. One of them asked for a grammy for his performance.
I think the Portugal one in the box was not called because the ref actually gave the ball to Portugal. The Germans were about to clear it and the ref intercepted the ball to the Portuguese which is where they went on to get a good chance and there should have been a foul. Not saying the ref was right but think that was going through his mind.
