Certainly no supporter of any CAA school. We're too good for that sort of thing.

No and we DEFINITELY don't go out of our way to start a smack thread on eGriz for sheer amusement.

Pay no attention to wideright81 on eGriz - I'm sure he's not an ASU fan masquerading as a Nova fan.

Regardless of score the losers are Montana and Villanova because at some point they have to return to Missoula and Philly.

As long as we score more than 3 points, at home, I'll be happy. :coffee:

W&M Tribe wrote:Nova is tough. Period. W&M has had a hard time matching up with them for the past few years and both teams are hungry to finally make it to the championship game. Maybe I'm a homer, but either team will handle Montana. Montana plays in a weak league, they have several big league transfers, and they have a huge fanbase and stadium at home. But, they won't be able to run against W&M and if they can't score at least 24 points against the Tribe, it's over. Nova is strong on both sides of the ball and would beat Montana 37 - 17 on a neutral field. The last time Montana played a CAA team, they were humiliated and there are at least 4 CAA teams this season (probably 5 if U of Delaware played well) that would beat Montana. Montana's playoff schedule has been the easiest (so far) and W&M beat one of the best passing offenses 38-0 and then beat the #1 ranked team in the national on SIU's home turf 24-3. SIU's big-time running back mustered up only 20-something yards on the ground. Nova beat Temple, who will be playing in a bowl game, lost to New Hampshire and then demolished UNH Saturday. I guess any team can win on a given day, but Montana will meet their first real contender when ASU comes to town (and, they travel well). Look for ASU to win 38-24 and Nova (I hate to say) to beat W&M 27-21.
No one from Montana is looking past Appy; no one can, since they have won 3 of the last 4 NCs, just beat a top CAA team in their own house and sports the best player in FCS. But should we get by Appy, be careful with Montana in a NC game when they don't have to travel twice across the country in 6 days with finals in between to play for the 16th straight week. The outcome could be much more like the first CAA road game last year (#1 JMU) than the last (Richmond).

My feeling as well kem. Real tough road to finish with a title but I like the fact that IF we can topple the juggernaut of App. then we have a lot better shot not having to make that long trip twice.
