It may be an important topic, but it's been beaten to death, don't you think? Either they will change it, or they won't. In the mean time, allegations of racism, etc. aren't going to change anything.

Ideally, UND would like to schedule guarantee games in which the team could bus to the destination in an effort to trim travel costs.

However, schools such as Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa have adopted policies that say they won’t schedule a school with a nickname that isn’t compliant with the NCAA.

That makes UND a bit hand-cuffed in its selection of guarantee games.

The North Dakota Board of Higher Education voted 5-3 today to ratify the chancellor’s recommendation to continue merchandising of Sioux nickname apparel for the 2011-12 season.

The board also voted 7-1 to direct the University of North Dakota to cease transitioning away from the Sioux nickname and logo.

The name/logo associated merchandising revenue stream is in place for at least another year.

Dont you think that revenue stream should be shared with the Tribes? Maybe 60-40 in favor of The Tribes?
