He was easily the most improved player in the Pac-10 this year, I saw him play quite a bit and he is a pretty skilled big man. Pretty decent rebounder and very polished offensive game out to the college 3 point line. Not a great athlete though, pretty slow laterally and in general.

Yeah, it does seem like an underwhelming pick. I'm a big Pac-10 homer so I think he'll turn out to be pretty good, dunno if he'll be able to do much on defense for the 76ers though, but it's tough to pass on a legit 7 footer who already has a pretty good back to the basket and face-up game on offense.
