That actually is what they are paid to do, sway opinions.
He has zero tolerance of those whose opinions he can't sway, no difference from the other political hacks out there.

I have no time for hannity or O'Reilly so that is a moot point. If you show me articles supporting independent thinking as exhibited by either rand paul or ron paul then I will change my view about him ... I don't believe articles like that exist from any political hacks much less him.

Neither party needs more political parrots that find more ways to spread the same political nonsense.

This country needs MORE "independent" thought that points out the destructive policies which are being implimented by BOTH parties.

Blind party loyalty ... Good Grief!

Regardless of your agreement or disagreement with Mr. Will

on a political basis
George never constructed a flimsy argument
was able to back up virtually everything he said
He always understood both sides of the debate at hand
He has zero tolerance for buffoons and poorly constructed notions

He criticizes O'reilly and Hannity on very specific arguments
and for their blind support and stupidity
Not for being conservative

George Will is precisely what BOTH PARTIES need MORE of not less

I'm looking for you to clarify the "He was never a Republican" comment...
And:
George Will made his money writing books far more than he did writing political opinions

Also
You appear to be claiming that you possess Independent thought
I'll be looking for any evidence of that in your posts - haven't seen any yet

I said
he was never a Republican
really meant to say
He was not actually a Republican at the end.

"In a 2013 interview with Reason Magazine writers Nick Gillespie and Matt Welch, Will said his views have gradually but steadily become more libertarian.[36]"

The Republican Party of Buckley's days was much more libertarian than it is in practice today (although they talk a big game)

If anything, the GOP evolved away from Will

I know my views on government have moved a little bit more libertarian over the years, but in the balance the GOP has migrated much more than I have.

Here's the thing:

People who were thinking Republicans two years ago are no longer Republicans now. Will is an example.

My wife is another.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

That's what I assumed but how does that make him a liberal as he alludes to in the post I quoted?

No. Good point. It actually detracts from his libtard street cred. Never met a libtard who wanted to rein in federal spending.

I've never met a neo-con republican who wants to rein in federal spending, either.

Neo-cons and neo-libs both love huge federal government...they simply disagree on which segments need more bloating

Then on that issue you aren't liberal.

Liberal means not have a problem with liberally setting liberal amounts of money on fire

Agreed. Same with Social Security and Medicare. Want to take it away? Fine. Give me back my contributions plus reasonable interest. No problem.
