Took to long to put the clamps down- its should have started several months earlier. Better late than never. No stone should be left unturned to ferret out leakers, with firings and/or prosecutions to those caught..

That might be the most ridiculous article I've read in quite some timeBDKJMU wrote:Took to long to put the clamps down- its should have started several months earlier. Better late than never. No stone should be left unturned to ferret out leakers, with firings and/or prosecutions to those caught..

I imagine most of the other folks in the national security system would feel similarly
Culture of fear?
What is there to fear if you actually follow the laws governing classified information?
If I was involved in security clearance reviews I'd look real hard at people that claim to be in "fear"

http://dailycaller.com/2017/07/09/comey ... formation/Four of the seven memos that former FBI Director James Comey wrote following his interactions with President Trump contained classified information, according to a new report.
The revelation, reported by The Hill, undercuts Comey’s claim during a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing last month that he believed that the information in the memos was unclassified.

Another one-two punch weekend... this time from the New York Times.
Saturday - NYT reports a meeting at Trump Tower between Kushner, Don Jr., Manafort, and a Russian lawyer with Kremlin ties on June 9, 2016.
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/08/us/p ... afort.html
Don Jr. responds by saying the meeting was about Russia's adoption law preventing Americans from adopting. (lol)
Sunday - NYT reports the meeting was to discuss kompromat the Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, had on Clinton.
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/09/us/p ... afort.html
Don Jr. responds by saying that "claims of potentially helpful information were a pretext for a meeting"... but, she had nothing to offer.

So, Don Jr., Kushner, and Manafort attended a meeting with the express intention of receiving damaging information. Either they were duped into a pointless meeting... or it was fruitful.
But, whether or not they did... it's ANOTHER fucking meeting Kushner "forgot" to include on his SF-86... under penalty of felony perjury.
And, it certainly explains why Fox News, et al., have begun changing their talking points from - "no evidence of collusion" to "collusion isn't illegal."
And, we've come quite a long way from - no Trump officials had any contact with any Russians during the campaign.
And, the best part - it isn't fake news because Don Jr. confirmed it. And, the leaks are from 5 sources in the White House.

Just saying....if the Russians had approached Clinton, Cruz, Rubio, etc... with information they would've found a way to secretly meet. Having said that, CNN and MSNBC are having a field day this morning on it. CNN was interviewing Conway and kept interrupting her to the point where they asked a question and she had to keep telling them to be fair the viewers and read everything in context. CNN really has a bug up its ass for Trump.
Meanwhile, newspapers in the UK, Israel and Australia are all lauding Trump on his G20 visit, his speech in Poland and proposed trade deals with the UK. I haven't heard anything about those items in our MSM.
Turns out I might be a little gay. 89Hen 11/7/17

Nonsense, collusion is clearly understood, from the beginning, to be any contact whatsoever with anyone from Russia, who has been to Russia, or knows where Russia is. In fact, there's a good debate going on now if watching "Firefox" counts as collusion since Clint Eastwood "thinks Russian" in the movie. There's a good number of political ads that could come from that movie alone in the upcoming elections.kalm wrote:Depends what the definition of "collusion" is...Skjellyfetti wrote:Another one-two punch weekend... this time from the New York Times.

Or the World Cup coming up in 2018. Soccer haters are sensing blood in the water on this one. On the bright side, the last time we had a Red Scare during or around a World Cup was in 1950 and the US had that big 1-0 upset over then perennial power England. Maybe the US could catch fire again???CAA Flagship wrote:Yes. And this includes watching the Olympics from Sochi on TV.GannonFan wrote:

Still can't even be convinced that it's a valid subject worthy of investigation.
It's still some kind of narrative that I and the media created. Or just a Red Scare as Gannon likes to say.
Are Mueller, Rosenstein, and Richard Burr all tin foil hat wearing, CNN addicted, Democrat shills?

Probably should have hired him BEFORE releasing a public statement admitting to soliciting campaign help from a foreign national?
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-t ... SKBN19V2JXDonald Trump Jr., the president's son, has hired New York lawyer Alan Futerfas to represent him in connection with Russia-related investigations, the lawyer and Trump Jr.'s office said on Monday.
Futerfas, a sole practitioner who specializes in criminal defense, would not say when he was retained or whether he had any input into the statements Trump Jr. made over the weekend about a meeting with a Russian lawyer.

Re: Сделаем Америку снова великой!

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/10/us/p ... -smartlockBefore arranging a meeting with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer he believed would offer him compromising information about Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump Jr. was informed in an email that the material was part of a Russian government effort to aid his father’s candidacy, according to three people with knowledge of the email.
The email to the younger Mr. Trump was sent by Rob Goldstone, a publicist and former British tabloid reporter who helped broker the June 2016 meeting. In a statement on Sunday, Mr. Trump acknowledged that he was interested in receiving damaging information about Mrs. Clinton, but gave no indication that he thought the lawyer might have been a Kremlin proxy.
Mr. Goldstone’s message, as described to The New York Times by the three people, indicates that the Russian government was the source of the potentially damaging information. It does not elaborate on the wider effort by Moscow to help the Trump campaign. There is no evidence to suggest that the promised damaging information was related to Russian government computer hacking that led to the release of thousands of Democratic National Committee emails.
But the email is likely to be of keen interest to the Justice Department and congressional investigators, who are examining whether any of President Trump’s associates colluded with the Russian government to disrupt last year’s election. American intelligence agencies have determined that the Russian government attempted to sway the election in favor of Mr. Trump.
