It shows that the incompetence level of Republicans in NY is still alive and kicking.

Some good news.

So, was THIS a referendum on Obama? On conservatives?

And heavily democratic New Jersey elected a big dolt Rupublican just because everyone hated John Corzine. Sometimes a poor or strong individual can overcome histroical patterns.

New Jersey has a history of electing republican governors. Since 1947 6 of the 13 elected governors of NJ were republicans.

The problem with democrats is they are to blinded to vote out an incumbent in a primary or to pick the stronger candidate because they have some dislike for him or her. NJ voters would have been better served having someone other then Corzine as the democratic nominee. Voters in NJ yesterday wish they had other choices... Unfortunatly for Corzine, more voters disliked him then Christie.

In Virginia, democrats would have been better served nominating McAullife, while he may not have won, he would have had a better chance and would have atleast made it a closer race.

In NYC, democrats could have defeated Bloomberg had John Liu or Anthony Weiner not opted out of the race.

Whoop-de-freakin'-do! This district will likely disappear after reapportionment next year. :coffee:

Shocking. New York is becoming more liberal.

They're finally figuring out if you elect democrats you don't have to work and you get more free shit. :coffee:

Maybe more of a referendum on the back room county party machinery in New York State. :ugeek:

...and probably a cautionary tale for both conservative Republican overreaching and arrogance, and liberal (NOT "moderate") Republican dishonesty and arrogance.
