It is no secret that Obama's "diversity czar," Mark Lloyd, explicitly wants to control information to destroy conservative opinions and media businesses.

Save the tears, Nathan. Privacy of information went out with the 20th century and it isn't coming back and that's too bad.
Which reminds me of a book that I think you'd find as fascinating as I did and deals with privacy of information and the concept of a data haven. The story has two tracks, one focused on code breaking and the German's Enigma machine in WW2 follows a fictional unit that has to show up at various times and places during the war and be seen by the enemy by "coincidence" so that the Germans won't suspect their codes have been broken. The other track is a modern day search for the gold from the first track and explores computer security in a data haven located in a small fictional monarchy near the Sulu Sea and what the ramifications would be of there being such a place where you could keep information and the government couldn't get to it if they wanted to. It's written by Neal Stephenson and titled Cryptonomicon.
