I'm guessing baseball ultimately wil stay....I remember when ASU tried to cut wrestling. It ended up staying on.

Cal's AD made a comment a couple of weeks ago indicating that he'd like to get rid of women's volleyball but couldn't because the PAC-10 mandated that all member schools maintain a WVB program. WVB has been one of Cal's more successful athletic programs. It's astonishing that cutting it was even discussed.
