Why are school boards and local governments "rushing to reach agreements" with unions before they're about to be presented with the best position they've ever been in? Because these politicians don't represent the taxpayer in labor-management discussions; they represent the unions that got them elected. The parties participating in the "bargaining" are on the same side of the table.

Reports say that there may have been collusion between the missing state senators and City of Madison officials to delay teh bill so contracts could be signed.
Hope the word gets out to the tax payers
It's always been a good deal to give money to elect a Governor and then sit across from that governor negotiating your contract.
