So, are they tanking? I've heard some FB whining to that effect re the Fish tonight. I know both have had devastating injuries at the QB position, so that might be a mitigating factor.
In Indy's case, it's direct repudiation of their attitude re P. Manning. In fact, it's reminiscent of what happened in Buffalo with Jim Kelly, except that nobody can accuse Indy's backups of dereliction of duty. (See Hobert, Billy Joe.) The Dolts have always made a habit of letting Manning take all the snaps in a regular season game, including blowouts, so there's never been a feel that the backup can do anything. They're paying for that now.
The Fish had nobody to begin with, and generally haven't since they allowed Marino to retire. (No, I'm not all that impressed with Chad Henne.)
So, does it look like people are playing Luck Roulette? If that's the case, that devious mind inside Goodell's head just might take a page out of the NBA's playbook and unilaterally institute a draft lottery. Legal or not, that can't be good for the game. And it brings up questions about the integrity of coaches and GMs....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

My oponent in Fantasy Football needed 4.5 points from Plexico. Looked in the box score this morning, and he didn't even have to shoot himself in the foot.
