I just don't get why UND fans are so locked in on keeping the old nickname/logo. To me it's a big slap in the face of the student athletes. They are the one's that make UND sports great not the nickname. They are the ones that are on the playing field playing for the University. Sorry NDSU fans but UND hockey is the best sporting event to catch in the state/area. People enjoy it for the talent and tradition on the ice not because they are skating around with an Indian logo on. I hope they find a new nickname and logo that the die-hards will like because from the looks of it, it won't be easy.

"UND doesn't care about academics. That is why we are having this argument in the first place! The whole thing was to appease the NCAA to go Division 1. I just can't help but question those who say they were victims of racism. Not a single one of them has come forward and cited a specific incidence. I remember a few years back, people were upset because at a hockey game in St. Cloud, a group of SCSU students chanted "F*** the Sioux". Not because of the f-bomb, but because as we all know SIOUX is the offensive word. We can't control the stupidity of other school's students."
