New FCS uniforms for 2012

Next week I will get NCAA Football 13. My goal is to create all the FCS teams and import some to the game (specifically the Big Sky). So I was curious who is getting new uniforms this year?

I know that Northern Colorado has new uniforms, but have they released images to the media because Googleing "Northern Colorado New Uniforms" just gives me pics of Colorado State and the official website has nothing on this.

It is also my understanding that Montana State "may" have new gold alternates for this years Gold Rush.

Are there any other known or rumored changes for this season?

I have heard rumors that Cal Poly is getting new away Nike uniforms.

We got our new ones last season when we switched from Nike to Addidas. We gave our old ones to CP.

Word is Montana will have a special set for one game this season (most will speculate Cat/Griz but I doubt it). Not sure when though.

Are you perhaps talking about the all black set? From what I heard they were suppose to be used last season, but they were not finished or Montana didn't pay for them, that point is conflicted. Frankly I liked the white logo and white facemask Montana used last year.

Less black and more silver!

The all blacks that I designed, yes. Those aren't what I've heard are coming this season. Pflu and O'Day loved my black ones, but someone overruled them on getting them on the field. I was informed via email that they were supposed to be donned during the UNI game, but it never transpired.

Then may I ask this question: why design all back uniforms for a team whos official colors are not black? I really don't get this BFBS trend going around now a days.

1. Black and white are "accent" colors for every school in the nation.

2. How many schools use all white uniforms?

1. True black and white are accent colors, but Montana wanted black helmets, black jerseys, and black pants. Their offical athletic colors are maroon and silver. Fact is the 2002 Grizzly jerseys did not have black, they were silver, maroon and white (their best uniforms I might add)

1. UNI has gone with all black uniforms. Nothing wrong it it. I don't give a rats ass if Montana wants to do all black or all white. They are universal.

2. Do you have issues with those schools wearing all white?

I have no issues with the following schools wearing all white because white is either part of their color scheme or white is used for a piratical purpose. By which I mean Arizona State and Miami Hurricanes do not include white in their basic color pallet, but if your playing football in August in a location where its 100 degrees plus, then white is a smart choice for a helmet or jersey color. Tulane switched to white helmets primarily because it kept them cooler in the dome than the green helmets ask dark colors attract heat more and white typically draws less and reflects it. So no I have have no problem with white. However when a school like Kentucky, whos colors are blue and white, decide to wear all back, I have to wonder why. It has nothing to do with tradition or any piratical reasoning. And for that matter, why is it that a tropical team like Hawaii wears black jerseys at home anyway?

Granted black is universal like white, but the only reason I can find that teams were it is because: they look cool. I'm sorry but when MSU wore the all gold or the blue helmets with blue jerseys and pants, that was cool! If MSU broke out black helmets, jerseys or pants, it would look wrong because our school colors are blue and gold. If we were Wake Forest and our colors were black and gold, then I'd understand why we have black uniforms. Point is, if its not int your color scheme, then don't wear it unless it has a piratical purpose like the white helmets for Tulane.

EWU has done all red, all black with red helmets, all white with red helmets, and this year we're getting black matte helmets, but I'm not sure if they're just for one game or we'll use them all season.

That brings up a question I have been wondering, dose the Big Sky have a rule against EWU wearing red at home? I ask because during their first season with the red turf they wore all read in all home games. It wasn't until this year that I noticed they wore only black jerseys at home. Are they choosing not to wear red or are they forced not to? Because if they are choosing to, I have no idea why.

There's no rule, as far as I know. We chose to wear black for the Villanova game in 2010 because the players didn't want any excuses from outsiders after we beat them.

Personally, I prefer the all black, I think the all red jerseys look tacky.

Southeastern Louisiana won't have entirely new uniforms but will have some noticeable adjustments ... exact details still unknown but we're definitely switching from green helmets to flat gold (yellow), with same logo ... rumor has it we may go from no helmet stripe to a green-white-green striping pattern down the middle though unconfirmed ... also rumored are gold pants with green-white-green stripe down the side ... I'm told jerseys are the same as last year.

I think CCU changed theirs a season or two ago. If I recall, we have a predominantly Teal jersey.

GoldenB, you and I have must have the same taste and questions about uniforms. I really dislike our current uniforms with the black in them. I too, find it odd the preoccupation with the black unis. I am in the minority in my thinking as most seem to like the black. It does seem to be the younger fans that like black. Personally I prefer teams stay with their traditional colors.

I really like the all blue unis the Cats wore last season in the Cat/Griz game. The helmets were really nice. I also like the Griz silver and white.
