A league threw out two 10-0 kiddie football teams (9-10 and 11-12 age divisions) from their Super Bowl because their CHEERLEADERS held an extra practice. Somehow that gave the FOOTBALL TEAM a "competitive advantage." The board vote on the motion to ban them was 14-0. Both teams have understandably appealed.
The rule was clearly intended to cover the football players, but the idiots who drafted it not only failed to make that explicit, but failed to communicate intent to what are essentially auxiliary members of the organization. Complete Javertian bologna in my opinion.

I'd still like to know how the cheerleaders gained a "competitive advantage" from this. Their performance at the title game has NOTHING to do with a cheer competition.
