Missouri State QB facing animal cruelty citation

His career should be over after his suspension is done, due to the severity of the charges. :ohno:

All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.

If true, this guy is a real dirt bag.

The charge should be something related to damaging someone else's property. The concept of "animal cruelty" shouldn't even be in our laws.

Vick was convicted of:
Federal felony conspiracy in interstate commerce
Federal felony aid of animal cruelty
State felony torturing and killing dogs
State felony promotion of dog fights

Vick was charged with drowning, electrocuting, hanging, beating with hands, bats, hammers, etc...

Not even in the same realm.

I'm thinking he means in the court of public opinion.

I have a feeling that most of the outrage wasn't about Vick breaking interstate commerce laws...

The kid is also a piece of shit that I don't think deserves to live.

HOWEVER, there is still a difference between training dogs to fight each other to death, electricuting them, hanging them, beating them with baseball bats, drowning them, and if they don't meet expectations sending 4 or 5 other dogs after them at once....

Our boxer pup is now trained to go downstairs each morning and wake the 15 year old up. I say "go wake Jack
up" and she sprints down, jumps on the bed and starts licking him. The bulldog is the first dog we've had that literally wears a smile when she's happy. She also raises a paw in greeting.

So again punching a dog three consecutive times in the jaw and BREAKING it is acceptable how is that a woman on twitter thinks otherwise!!!!!!!!!

The dog bit him. He obviously hit the dog back too hard. He is good friends with the owner of the dog (he's watched the dog before) and went to her to pay for the medical bills. It wasn't even her who took to Facebook, it was a friend of hers.

The whole thing is f'd up. I am a dog owner and I don't defend what he did but I also don't think a young man should have his life ruined over a mistake that he was genuinely sorry for (he paid for the bills before it ever became public).

The thing that bothers me is that everyone on Facebook wanted his head before ever knowing the details. And we still probably don't know all the details (myself included, I just have friends/acquaintances at the school). The 14th Amendment be damned, the death threats, etc were just ridiculous.

With that said, I expect him to be released of scholarship as our University President has refused to take transfers who have a past of some sort.

You're defending him because he's your starting QB.

Hit the dog back "too hard"? Oh fuck you.
He dude is a fucking piece of shit. I hope he plays against UNI and our defense breaks his fucking jaw and "hits him too hard"

This thread illustrates the point that we have a serious problem in our culture of worrying way too friggin much about non human animals. It's a friggin' dog.

It is just a dog, however ...

It shows the character of a man who could do that to a helpless dog .. one of the "many" things that are wrong with our culture is the lack of compassion for other people and helpless animals.

Anything that can feel pain should never be mistreated. I used to think that the value of a human life should always out weight the value of an animals life, but in the case of sadistic people like him ... they have no redeeming quality that I can see.
I would risk my life to save many people, but not someone like this. [WINKING FACE]

Your take on this shows a serious lack of morality.

Sounds like the guy hit the dog in a fit of rage and went way overboard. Douche!
Vick, being of sound mind, willfully tortured and killed dogs, and promoted dog fighting. Bigger Douche!

Since nobody was there to witness the supposed assault why do people keep saying that the dog was punched 3 times?

Because an animal was hurt and people want blood.

Suspended for the rest of the season. Will need to fulfill list of requirements, academically, legally, and socially, in order to be reinstated

Coach Stec declined to share the "list" but noted that his Marine background would play a part in compiling it's components.
