I-AA Game of the Week - ROUND OF 16
Pretty much chalk advancing with maybe the exception of KSU > Wofford IMO.

Toss up for me between SELA vs Montana and Monmouth vs JMU.
Interested in seeing if Monmouth tests JMU at all.
Also which Montana team shows up.

I picked the Monmouth game. Really interested to see if they can make a game of it...show they aren't posers.Winterborn wrote:Toss up for me between SELA vs Montana and Monmouth vs JMU.

I think they are legit, how much is up in the air. They won the games they played (except for one) so they took care of business so far.

Neither APSU or Sac have been here before so that one intrigued me a little. ISUr reminds of UNH a few years back with two winnable games and a good D. I’d be surprised if the rest are that close.

I picked Monmouth as well - they could be a real surprise or they could be posers - will find out this weekend.

Re: I-AA Game of the Week - ROUND OF 16
Obviously I'm in Southland Land but I think the Nicholls State at North Dakota State thing is interesting. Nicholls State as a program has sometimes been a bug in the ointment for big time programs. Like playing wire to wire and seriously threatening to beat Georgia in 2016.
Obviously I wouldn't be surprised if North Dakota State absolutely blows them out. But I also wouldn't be surprised if they have some difficulty with them. This isn't like Sam Houston State. This isn't a finesse team like Sam Houston State has been. This is a physical team.

Went with the great JMU/Monmouth match-up but really like KSU @ Weber too.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

I actually went with Albany @ MT State. I saw all the 8 CAA teams JMU played, most of them multiple times, + saw UD multiple times. 2 CAA teams I didn’t/haven’t seen: Maine and Albany. Week 13 recorded the SBU/Albany game in case JMU played Albany 2nd Round, but since Albany is on the opposite side of the bracket haven’t watched it yet.

I went with the homer pick, of course.
That said, I'm rooting for SELA and Albany, but expecting them to lose....

Well aren't you a nasty bugger. You, you, you... Montana hater. You go sit in the corner and reflect on the errors of your ways! I don't want to hear that kind of talk around here again.
I am pulling for all four of the Big Sky teams to advance. I'm not certain that is going to happen but I am pulling for each of them. SLU, Albany, Kennesaw, and even Austin Peay can turn in their gear next week.

that about the best thing I've seen posted by a griz fan in 4 years
Sac is brand new to playoffs, they don't understand that the BSC usually cheers for each other, whoever makes it in.
Yes, even I want to see um beat the Cajuns

Careful, "Even I want to see The University of Montana beat the Cajuns" just might make a good permanent quote.
Good luck Saturday! I'm driving to Missoula to catch my first Griz game this year. SLU looks dangerous. Should be a good game. FYI, there really hasn't been much reason for a Grizzly fan to post these past few years.

FWIW, I AM rooting for BBQ and WOULD be rooting for EWU had they not been shafted by the Committee....

Wait, a team that was 6-5 vs Div 1, went 1-2 vs the field, and lost to 6-6 amd 5-7 non playoff teams got shafted?SuperHornet wrote:FWIW, I AM rooting for BBQ and WOULD be rooting for EWU had they not been shafted by the Committee....

I'm rooting for UM, MSU, Weber and...Sac? That's a tough one. It would sure be nice to host another round. I'm torn on the Sac game. I guess whichever way it goes I can be happy but my cheering for Sac will be half-hearted at best.
Edit: I picked the game between the two first-timers - Sac/APSU

The irony here is that SH is a huge montana fan, in fact he is actually a part of your fanbase as some posters have claimed him off of waivers many years ago.Grizzlies1982 wrote:SuperHornet wrote:I went with the homer pick, of course.

I went with a homer pick because why not. I think our game will be the closest of the BSC games with every other BSC team rolling to easy wins.
