He's about the same age as you.

Yeah I heard that news on Baton Rouge sports talk radio when I was riding around in my truck yesterday. Actually I think it's a good hire for LSU. I heard a former LSU and NFL defensive player...can't remember the name but it was one I'd heard a lot...talking about how Pellini challenged as well as prepared the players mentally. Also recounted a story of a time when he drew a blitz up with his finger in the dirt during a game then it worked. The player said he got a sack on the play.

Pellini may not have had an outstanding head coaching run. But indications are he's a heck of a defensive coordinator. And now he'll be making $2 million per year to do it. Not a bad gig.

And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Indications are he's already won a national championship at LSU as a defensive coordinator.

So yeah.

His worst year of his 7 seasons at Nebraska was 9-4. I'd say that's pretty good. His problem was that Nebraska fans are dumber than hell.

YSU hires U of Cincinnati running backs coach Doug Phillips..

"....Phillips, also a Youngstown native, coached multiple positions on Tressel’s YSU staff from 1991-92. He has spent almost all of his career in the Buckeye State, working under Luke Fickell at Ohio State before following him to Cincinnati. Phillips also has 15 years’ experience coaching in the Ohio high school ranks....."
