Best Performance: Northern Colorado 17, (FBS) Colorado St. 21 - The Bears, who only have one FCS win in the last 3 years, nearly upset an upper-half Mountain West team (supposedly) thanks to 5 forced turnovers. Only replay-review robbery stood in their way.
Worst Performance: Portland St. 20, (#18) North Dakota 50 - The Viks at least got on the scoreboard this time, but their offense was still bad with 3 turnovers, just 228 total yards, and 3 fourth-down failures.
Most Surprising Result: (#8t) UC Davis 10, (FBS) Washington 70 - I didn’t expect this one to be close like some people did, but come on! A real top-10 FCS squad shouldn’t get humiliated this bad by an FBS that isn’t all that close to the top-25.

Worst Performance: (#20) Nicholls St. 10, West Georgia 34 - After holding Incarnate Word to just 16 yards rushing, the Colonels allow 342 yards on the ground to a transitional team.
Most Surprising Result: (#20) Nicholls St. 10, West Georgia 34 - The running game has become a big concern for Nicholls. They’re only averaging 65.7 rushing ypg in 3 games, and they have yet to break 70 yards.
Best Performance: (#2) South Dakota St. 30, (#3) Montana St. 24 (2OT) - Jackrabbit WR Lofton O’Groske had 12 catches for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns, accounting for nearly half of his team’s total yardage in this marquis win.
Worst Performance: Murray St. 24, Southeastern Louisiana 45 - The Racers get outscored 21-3 in the second quarter and lose their 11th. straight.
Most Surprising Result: (#5) South Dakota 13, Lamar 20 - Aiden Bouman threw for just 108 yards, his lowest output since last year’s season opener against Northern State.

The D-III voters probably do not care about upper-division scalps, so it seems...
All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.

How he still has a job there has been beyond me for years, but whatever.
Do the Viks have enough offensive talent this year to even expect better with a real OC?

Its hard to be competitive in the conference when you can't decide on a quarterback. The conference has been a quarterback-driven league for years now and if you don't have one, you aren't going anywhere. Our O-Line also looks to be undersized, but I don't know if part of that was going up against Tarleton and BYU.
Bryant over UMass not a big surprise, would have to give that honor to Del State over Albany as well. I’m not speaking for myself on this however but I’m sure Albany fans were shocked

Bryant beating UMass wasn't shocking, since UMass losing to anyone is never shocking, but Albany was pretty bad last year and wasn't supposed to be much-if-any better (picked 12th. in the CAA).

Nope, a CAA Albany team, no matter how bad, should thump a team from the MEAC…. It’s old-school thinking, but I do know that’s changing really fast.

Bringing AGS stuff to this forum!? How dare you, sir!
Seriously, though, I notice you did pick DSU to cover on the AGS pick 'em. I would've picked DSU to win if it was a straight-up pick. I don't know how good DeSean Jackson will be for the Hornets' long-term future, but their early results show they clearly have more talent than they did before (like former Sac State QB Kaiden Bennett).

Yeah, I take more victory laps than Richard Petty but your FCS recaps are totally better than anything I’ve ever done
Desean has got to be thinking make a quick and big difference at Delaware State and then moving on too a bigger job
That Sacramento State quarterback is exactly why I picked Delaware State to hang with Albany

True, but that's probably the best the Hornets can realistically hope for. Hopefully they can get a MEAC title out of it before he bolts.
