Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

I've been more productive at home with no distractions...much happier too. No commute and wowntime isn't spent staring blankly at a screen; I can enjoy cooking, exercise, gardening, video games, etc. And using tech to quickly communicate with everyone is super easy. Our company management is old sc...

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

What I am arguing is that a mask is not the clear divider that it is currently presented to be. No more, no less. And the italicized is a good "opinion" but it is not fact (it maybe or maybe not wind up being true). For the bold that was never going to happen for many reasons and all of t...

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

I did some digging this weekend and while I found my notes I did not save a link to the study. It was at time that when I was researching all the different ideas out there and it became fairly obvious that the science was being ignored on both sides, for an emotional decision making process. I am f...

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19

Most studies I've seen, show how a particle the size if a virus is not stopped by a mask, and that's true IMO. The masks are worn to stop larger particulates that carry a large viral load, possibly thousands of individual virus. A medial recommended mask, dry or wet, is going to catch the particula...

Re: Eating Their Own

It may be strategically stupid for the Democratic establishment but on issues like the minimum wage, they are both non-populist. Huh? How do the Democrats pass a progressive agenda if they lose either or both of those seats? Trying to primary them shows that they're prioritizing ideological purity ...

If you don't have school age kids then no. Oh and LinkdIn scrubbed its CRT courses from its website. Whoops. Or work for a Fortune 500 company. Whether or not Coca-cola is a proponent of CRT is hard to gauge, but what they are/were doing is playing CYA against lawsuits in having more diversity trai...

Tarleton is an FCS transition program. What I really LOL’ed about was, as the score was 30-7, the (obviously biased) NMSU announcers were discussing the fall schedule, going thr...

We'll have to invest in re-educating them into other careers, whatever their choice is. It's also why we should have on-going, large-scale, publicly-funded infrastructure projects in the US which pay good wages and benefits. It benefits middle-class workers and society as a whole. Re: Thank you coal!

What a crazy week it was. We operate in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) energy market. SPP covers 14 states from North Dakota to the Texas panhandle. On a typical day prices for energy would be maybe 2-2.5 cents per kWh. On a hot day or cold day that might jump up to an average of 5-6 cents per kWh....
