I'm not sure anyone here has gotten more tickets than me. And many of them were in Virginia.
I had to go to court only once because of getting pulled for 82 in a 65 (considered reckless). Meh. Got dropped to non-reckless 79 and I paid a fine and walked away. No lawyer represented me.

Side note: I got pulled between Richmond and Charlottesville on my way to a UVA football game. I had just picked up Jerky Boys 2 in Richmond and was listening to it. I was laughing so hard that I wasn't paying attention to my speed. I told the Trooper that and he said he loved the first one but hadn't heard JB2 yet. I highly recommended it. He then gave me the ticket and told me to save the rest until I got home.

You know, I think about this sort of thing every time I'm driving east out of Baton Rouge to go do field work early in the morning around 5 am. You can't just relax and drive right at the speed limit because so many A holes want to speed.

People who want to drive slower than the speed limit are in the right lane. That's what they're supposed to do. So you can't drive at or near the speed limit in the right lane.

And you can't drive at or near the speed limit in the left lane either because as soon as you do so many A holes who want to drive 10 or more miles above the speed limit are right up your rectum.

Just drive the friggin' speed limit.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

About two thirds of my now 50-mile each way commute is two-lane undivided rural routes. There are no posted speed limit signs, which by law here means the speed limit is 50 mph. I leave between 4 and 5 am. Sometimes I don't see another car for five or ten miles. It's so remote that I may have been alien-abducted and probed and not even known about it. There is just no way I'm doing 50 mph in those conditions. I have my radar detector going and Waze going, which is a nice combo for speed trap warnings, and I'm usually running 75-80 mph. When I finally get to US-50 (divided highway), I run behind whomever wants to be the lead dog, and they too are usually doing 75-80.

Knock on wood, I haven't gotten a ticket in two years, and I get there about ten minutes earlier than if I did the speed limit.

How can you advocate for the rules and yet vote for Clinton?

I think that if you're going to worry about who would break the most rules you should be worrying about Trump. That's what really gets me about this whole "Clinton trust" thing. We're sitting here in an election where the other candidate makes her look like a friggin' saint and people are worried about HER. It's just insane.

You've got this vile, thoroughly dishonest, unqualified candidate who comes off as having serious emotional maturity and stability issues and you're asking me how I can vote for Clinton? I can vote for Clinton because the only other realistic alternative is THAT bad.

I know people from your parts are really slow thinkers, but why do you think you should be able to hog a lane for yourself? :suspicious:

Stay right, pass left.

That is how civilized people with high IQs drive.

The clown who drives the speed limit (or near it) in the left hand lane are usually uneducated, inner city drivers, old people who have lost any sense of relative speeds, or uneducated, slow thinking country bumpkins.

Stay right. Pass left.

That is really easy for anyone with a functioning brain.

The slow person you complain about in the right hand lane...the lane you don't want to drive in because people aren't going the speed you'd like to go...is you to everyone else. :dunce: :tothehand:

What is even funnier is that so-called libertarian JSO wants people to strictly obey the arbitrary speed limit the government posts on every road. :dunce:

Trump hasn't proven that he thinks rules and laws don't apply to him- yet. Saying otherwise is just your opinion- pure speculation.

Hillary, on the other hand....

You selectively ignored the worst drivers of all: white, suburban, highly-educated, helicopter soccer parents.
